  1. The brake switch have a double action, it is possible that the brake light function is o.k. but the second function not. As Loren says you need the codes, could be a bad sensor or an interrupted wiring as well.
  2. I agree White. A pressure and oil temp. gauge such as the 997 have, unfortunately not available even not as an option.
  3. Remove both tail lights, there are screws under the lights. Remove both inner wheel well partial, the bumper shell is secured on the rear wing with a screw. Remove the bolts on the lower part of the shell. Pull the shell backwards and disconnect the park assistant connector on the left side. Hope this helps.
  4. Drive your car as before and wait till the CEL comes up again and note the code, could be a second problem in the system.
  5. Probably a faulty sensor or bad contact on the connectors, bad sensors are not uncommon.
  6. The secondary air pump works only for a short time and on a cold start, perhaps the engine temperature was still high enough at the pick up. Diagnostic tools can give a sign in which direction the fault occurred, but never a 100% solution.
  7. The best you can do, in my opinion, is go to a dealer or an independent to pinpoint the problem. The noise will not disappears at his own, it can only be worse.
  8. In spite of what you mention that the noise is coming from the engine, i think the clutch is the culprit, the release bearing in the furst place.
  9. I agree with 1schoir, it looks like ATF fluid.
  10. Your dealer can delete the service reminder out of the program if you want.
  11. Cars with a Bose have no battery in the spare wheel room, the woofer takes the place.
  12. It is normal that a new and an old bulb have a different color, change both. The lifespan is approx. 3000 hours for xenon bulbs.
  13. Only the Official Porsche Centers have this info via Porsche Partner Network, the actions who are still open appears on the work sheet. They mark the maintenance log when the action is done.
  14. Open both flaps with the key and place the system in possition on the roof, there where the roof rails are at large, the most to the middle point of the car. Now you can move the system where you like, 2 positions on the front and 3 on the rear. Once the system in position simply push the flaps ( handles ) till they are closed. The key is only needed to open the flaps. The car icon on the flaps must have the same direction as the driving direction.
  15. Kessy is too complicated for DIY, you need a PIWIS tester anyway.
  16. 15 mm spacers and larger have nuts, no bolts. The spacer is fixed with the original bolts on the hub.
  17. Grab with a hook ( bended steel wire or similar ) under the left tail light, there is a emergency steel wire with a loop present in normal conditions.
  18. Which one? Longerons, transverse or transverses how are matched with the longerons.
  19. See previous post: RFM jan. 22 point 3 Dennis C jan. 25 and 30 Loren jan 31
  20. Probably a faulty sender, you can check for corroded connectors on top of the sender first.
  21. Item 9 is attach with 1 screw in the middle to the filter element and 4 clips ( pins ) which forms one piece with the filter element. It looks complicated but in fact it's simple.
  22. All 987 are the same, i see that you are a contributing member, ask Loren for an " exploded view" from the PET and you will see what i mean.
  23. The air filter element is equipped with 4 plastic clips and 1 screw on the front side of the air filter housing. Remove the screw and pull out the filter element.
  24. You need a special tool for the cable possition alignment.
