I had this very issue today. My car has been in winter storage with the top up. Tried to put it down and would not close the last 2 inches. The driver's side flap would not close all the way. Used the torx screw under the cap to close it all the way, then it started working again. When operating, I can hear a light squeal, so it needs some lube. I will do that, and everything will probably be fine. This site is the greatest resource.
