MY 01 Cab 75K Miles. I am a total mechanic moron. When i move the steering wheel to either side i hear a creaking noise. I checked the dipstick where it says hydraulic fluid and its bone dry. Will i damage the car if i drive it w/ this creaking noise? Thinking its not a good idea as its supposed to lubricate something. Do i just top it up w/ this stuff? thank you for all this detail. i have exactly the same issue and was told they would have to pull the engine to repair it. I've just been clearing the CEL each time it comes on. I could go for 3 months and it not turn on, albeit i'm not driving the car daily. I was going to wait until i had to drop the engine for something else and repair this at the same time. I do hear the whine when the car starts and it does stop after 30-45 seconds. I checked both 40A fuses and they were fine. -
Sorry Loren it took me forever to get back to u. The fault code was ID 49 under the airbag control system

My airbag sensor light came on, and when i pulled the code it said passenger seat buckle? Anyone know what that means and what it takes to repair it?
