  1. Hey guys, looking at a 2000 Boxster S manual with 125K on it. It has two issues. The one that concerns me most is pronounced engine clatter. I am attaching a link to a short video of the noise. As this car is currently also in limp mode and showing error 1502 and has a max RPM of 1600, It can not be driven. My thought is that this noise sounds like very loud lifter noise from collapsed hydraulic lifters.......possibly because the car may have been sitting for a long time once the limp mode occurred. I have read several threads on the 1502 Error code and it seems to often happen when the battery gets low or is disconnected. The code is for throttle jacking (don't know what that is) or MAF if I am not mistaken. Have read reports of others trying replacement body cleaning or replacement, MAF, Coil packs, fuel pumps, and even the pricey e-gas throttle/gas pedal to no avail. I saw a few instances of the fix being nothing more than a battery jump followed by clearing codes,.......OR......simply turning the key rapidly back and forth about 20 times between the on and off positions. Thoughts? I think I am more concerned about the engine noise,......so here is the link to a 12 second video
