  1. I need some big help! I have a 02' Targa and was changing out the two 12v bulbs for the driver side sunvisor lighting. I did not disconnect the battery because I thought it wasnt necessary. Anyway the bulbs that the dealer gave me looked like a redesigned one with made in france on it. I did not know there were two bulbs that go into the sunvisor, so I only put in one, my question is could this have triggered an electrical short? Because the next moring none of the following items worked inside the car : 1. Both window switches (does not go up or down) the buttons light up but do not work. 2. Main lighting unit above the rear mirror ( none light up ) 3. Central lock does not light up nor does it work 4. Rear window defroster does not light up nor does it work 5. Key alarm no longer works / beeps twice when trying to manually lock the car from outside door lock 6. lighting on both doors are out as well * the only thing that works is the main instrument cluster/targa roof/and all front and rear exterior lights/rear window wiper/and psm switch/ all these seem to work fine. all this happened when I changed one bulb from the driver side sunvisor without disconnecting the battery. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  2. Tool pants , thanks again!! the right rear bulb holder looks just like the one in your picture, it has the bulb at the end that you can pull out and the extensions you were talking about. I went and replaced both bulb holders for the left and right side, the left works perfectly all lights work, its just the right side that the running lights dont work. Any other suggestions.
  3. Tool Pants , it looks just like your picture except it has tha amber bulb for the cleat turn signal lense. Are there different part numbers for the bulb holders for the clear tail light from the orginal amber tail lights? I checked all the fuses and they all seem to be fine.
  4. Its a 1999 Boxster 2.5L with the factory updated clear rear lights.
  5. Loren would be able to replace the buckle, Before I removed the seat I had to unplug the electric clip that controls the seat, could that have anything to do with it?
  6. I need help as to why my right rear tail lights running lights do not turn on at night when the headlights are on. I have replace all the bulbs with new ones and even replaced the bulb holder. All of the lights work except the two small running lights on the rear side. Any suggestions? thanks
  7. Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do to fix this airbag light that came on after I had removed the passenger side seat to find my friends ear ring that fell deep under the seat. Could I have triggered the light by removing the seat, before I did, I made sure to disconnect the battery. The car is a 2000 Boxster.
  8. thanks for your help mate! I dont know which fuses or relays to check? Do you think it might be the light switch? I hope its not the ignition switch because that takes alot of time? do you have any links on how to do the ignition switch and light switch. I also forgot to tell you that the high beams only work if you hpld them and do not function when they are switch on to they stay on mode.
  9. Hello everyone! I just bought a 2002 996 Turbo with 30,000 miles and the main xenon lights for both sides do not turn on. The only lights that turn on are the fog lights and the small axillary light to the left of each headlamp. I then took the 996 Turbo lights and put them my 996 targa which has xenons and they worked just fine. One other thing I noticed that was wierd is that the rear left turn signal blinks faster than the right rear turn signals. Any help would be greatly appriciated! I have read some posts and others have said that it could be many things, is it a possible it might be the light switch? or perhaps fuses? or something major.
  10. Can anyone please post a diagram on how to replace the air filter on a 996 turbo, i know there is one on the gt3 but the location is different on the turbo. I wanted to know if the hose to the left inter cooler needed to be removed in order to get the air box our? Thanks everyone
  11. Can anyone tell me what tools i need to purchase in order to change brakes on a Cayenne/S/Turbo I noticed there are different bolts holding the calipers in. Thanks
