  1. Hahaha. I totally understand what you're saying. I love driving it but hate having to deal with the constant issues. I'm planning to keep mine until April before the weather starts heating up again. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  2. I was afraid you were gonna say that lewisweller. Oh...well, I'll keep troubleshooting. Will check the voltages and have a look at the Comfort Control Unit. Thank you very much. BTW, read in one of your posts you sold your PIG. Any plans on getting another one? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  3. Hi. Having "Check Front Side Lights" message come up every time I turn on the headlights. Are Side Markers supposed to turn On with the headlights or just with the turn signals? All light bulbs seem to be working fine. I still went ahead and replaced the Side Marker light bulbs by the wheel wells but the message still comes on when switching the headlights on. I'm using regular bulbs no LED's. 955 Cayenne Turbo 06. Thanks in advance. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  4. The panel is attached by plastic fasteners. Just put a flat screwdriver or pry bar between it and the hatch and pull gently. I broke 2 of the fasteners in the process. Like most Porsche plastic, they were brittle and ready to break apart. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  5. Hi lewisweller. Just found this post as I'm having a Power steering leak in my 2006 CTT. Haven't crawled under the car to find the source yet. Had the same problem with the camera. Bought this one from Aliexpress and had it shipped to Dubai. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/VW-Tiguan-Car-Rear-Camera-Car-Reversing-Camera-For-VW-Touareg-Poussin-Old-Passat-Porsche-Cayenne/1649503339.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.df2W9M Used this instructions to replace it: No need for relay as this camera will work directly from the old camera source. 6.5 V. I had to drill a hole in the hatch to get the cables from inside the hatch above the number plate to the original camera area.
  6. Not quite a DIY fabrication of the part but this might help when disassembling. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  7. Agree on the AC being underpowered for these conditions. For the musty smell, I bought a moisture absorber from ACE a couple of weeks ago and it's made a great difference. First of all, the air inside the car doesn't feel humid and heavy as before which contributed to the heat feeling. It feels as if the AC doesn't have to work so hard to lower the temp. It's got a nice fragrance and most importantly it's collecting moisture from inside the car. So far it's 1/4 full capacity (2 weeks). I just have to secure it with some velcro to stop it from tumbling while driving. Give it a shot, I'm happy with the results. http://i.imgur.com/ZgjBkS4.jpg Sent from my SM-A800F using Tapatalk BTW, the one from ACE is different brand. I just attached a sample image.
  8. I would take that suggestion of weak AC compressor with a pinch of salt. I replaced mine in early July and did not notice much difference at the time. However, now that the temperatures have dropped below 40°C my AC is coping fine. Sent from my SM-A800F using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for your reply Rod. I'll see if I manage to crack open my actuator in order to lubricate it. Good luck with you issue! Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
  10. Hi Rod Croskery. I have a similar problem, were after turning on my AC, I would have an intermittent thumping noise. It turned out to be the white rode you mentioned. When the AC recirculation is set to AUTO or OFF, the white rod just travels back and forth continuously and the thumping is the actual fresh air baffle opening and closing. If I select manual recirculation ON, the baffle would close completely. I live in a very hot place so I'm afraid the baffle is not doing it's job properly to keep outside air from coming into the cabin at high temperatures. May I ask what exactly did you do to the actuator to fix it? Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
  11. Hi lewisweller. I replaced my Compressor about 2 months ago. Bought the Denso unit from AutohausAZ, expansion valve and receiver-dryer for US$530 + AED 250 shipping to Dubai. http://www.autohausaz.com/pn/95812601400 I had it replaced at Zdegree for AED 1000. Acording to them the system is all fine now. Honestly I am only using the car early morning or evenings as during the middle of the day, the heat is unbearable. The AC cannot cope with 40°+, it blows cool air but it isn't cold enough to really cool the car. I have it set to Auto 19° but the blower keeps working at top speed since the system is unable to reach that temperature. Early morning or evening not a problem, blower will drop to low speed. Using my Toyota during the day. Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
  12. Well. I've replaced the AC fan regulator and lubed the fan bearing. Fan is working properly even when car is seating in the sun. Had the AC gas checked as I feel the system is not cooling enough. I was told by the technician, the gas quantity is fine but he said the compressor is weak (not generating enough vacuum) and needs replacement. He showed me the low pressure reading of 51 psi. According to him it should have been between 20 - 40 psi.
  13. Thanks for your help. It's the internal blower failing intermittently. Specially when it's really hot outside. That's the same failure mode my Cayenne had as well, when the vehicle was hottest was when the regulator seemed to die or be most intermittent and lock out the highest fan settings. The system would then see inadequate cooling and request an even higher (broken) fan state from the regulator, until it reached maximum, all while barely blowing any air through. I think mine might have frozen a few times since it wouldn't blow at all. I replaced my fan regulator and now I have awesome cooling and all of the fan states all of the time. Troubleshooting this was strange since I could be in a parking garage and have all the fan states, but right when I needed the highest fan states (after being parked in direct sunlight) most they would be unavailable. Glad to hear mine is not an isolated case. Looking forward to replacing the regulator once I receive it and lubricating the motor bearing. Will post my results after the fix. Thanks everyone.
  14. Thanks. I came across those links on Google as soon as you mentioned the fix. Nice tutorials by the way.
  15. Thanks for your help. It's the internal blower failing intermittently. Specially when it's really hot outside. I'll try replacing the regulator and lube the bearing to see if that fixes my problem.
