  2. Hmm... I think you need to put a PST2 or PIWIS on the car and check out the alarm. No LED after locking would say the car alarm is not armed.
  3. Don't you just turn the bolt on the end of the torsion bar? Been a long time since I had a 1974 914 2.0 but that is what I remember. You should also loosen the steering box knuckle and realign it with the lowered front end - so the geometry will be right.
  4. The easiest way is to remove the mufflers - only adds 5-10 minutes. Where do you live? Lots of ice, snow and salt?
  5. Some of the Bosch will work - and some won't. The fault code points to only that sensor.
  6. :welcome: P1117 Oxygen Sensor Heating After TWC, Bank 1 – Above Limit Potential causes: – Heating resistance too low – Short to B+ Did you use Porsche O2 sensors - many aftermarket sensors will not work in these cars. If you did use Porsche sensors then - check wiring from DME control module, pin II/7, to disconnection point of oxygen sensor 1 after TWC for short to B+. If so, you have a shorted wiring harness.
  7. Model and year of your car please? Your profile says 98 Boxster but you posted in the 996TT section - so I have ho idea which car we are talking about.
  8. Any OBD II fault codes or pending codes? I would inspect the coil packs too.
  9. If you have OBD II software you should be able to see the MAF air flow readings which will tell you if the MAF is working properly. A leaking injector is fairly rare but it can happen.

  11. The parts lists show a 997TT alternator (2nd generation) as the current part number for a 996TT. It that what you have been using?
  12. :welcome: It is now on the CAN network (987, 987c, 997 series) - so unless your shift light can operate on CAN you are out of luck. This has been discussed here in more details - do a search if you want more info.
  13. Nick is correct - two places in MY01 and newer cars - plus you won't see anything until the stalk ore switch is installed.
  14. I believe that is a 5 digit code - if it is (and you give me the serial number) I'll give it a try.

  16. Porsche time units are 100 TU = 1 hour. So the estimate is 8.1 hours.
  17. Please do a search for P1130 on the forum - this has been covered many many times. It is NOT an O2 sensor - more likely a dirty or bad MAF or intake leak.
  18. Your car is a 996TT - different engine different fault diagnosis. P1133 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Lower Load Range, Bank 2 - Below Limit Possible fault cause: ♦ Incorrect signal from MAF sensor ♦ Fuel pressure too high ♦ Fuel injector leaking
  19. No, no tool can do that since they are not stored. Durametric, PST2 and PIWIS can graph trends of real time data (while connected).
