  1. If it were a bad coil you should get a CEL. Have you cleaned the throttle body? (the process is described here elsewhere) Or checked and cleaned the idle control valve? I would start there and also get your OBD II read for any fault codes.
  2. Sorry, Porsche does not sell just the stalk parts only the whole assembly. If you want just the turn signal part you might try a salvage yard. It is a little more work but a few folks have changed out just the turn signal switch. Item 1 - 996.613.219.10.EWC is the whole assembly -- US MSRP $248.18. Sunset Imports (Porsche parts at Dealer Cost) can likely do better than that.
  3. Model an year of your car please?
  4. How is the coolant level? Any oil floating in the coolant?
  5. Prior to 0W-40 Mobil 1 the recommended oil by Porsche was 15W-50 Mobil 1. Most of the older Owners Manuals state that.
  6. Look in the throttle body for oil. If there is oil in the TB then you likely have a bad AOS.
  7. Hmm... I show an MSRP of about $2300 for a cylinder head(and cam cover). Who quoted you $3300?
  8. I do not know how they get in there but I know of several instances where they got in under battery and chewed the fuel tank level sender wires. My guess would be that the follow the openings from the left front fender fuel filler to the tank.
  9. Sorry, but the bottom of your car is basically open and there are lots of wires to chew on. I know of ABS, brake wear wires and fuel tank sensing unit wires all being chewed by rodents.
  10. Remember the head and the cam cover are a matched set - so you will need both.
  11. Have you checked for pending fault codes? Could be a bad AOS.

  14. I would stick with Oklahoma Foreign or Silver Star Recycling (in California) - LA Dismantlers has had some bad reports.
  15. Hmm... missed that. I would certainly check the alignment - both camber and toe.

  18. MY03 has a TSB for some hard shifting but it was in the 1st to 2nd range. The solution was a new Tiptronic controller - you might check with your dealer and see if your car got the new controller.
  19. Hence my comment about waiting until it got worse.
  20. No, those are for a 3.4 liter cars and should not be used on 3.6 liter cars.
