  1. As I understand it there are two time limits. The first one does not activate the the passenger compartment sensors until you have activated the alarm and had time to move away from the car (about 10 seconds). The second criteria is that it needs to see motion over a period of time. So, say a persons shadow as they walk by the car does not set off the alarm. I think on the Boxster and Cabriolet it is also tied into the top microswitch - so if someone forced the top open it would go off immediately. I do not know how long - just explaining what I have read in the tech books and service manual. If someone else knows more - please add...
  2. Not really. Reprogramming a key requires: All keys (so you don't program over an active one) Your car because the code(s) get put in the immobilizer control module Your car's specific IPAS security codes from Porsche AG. and, if you get a new key the, the new key and 24 digit code exclusive to that key. I think Porsche wants to help you keep your car from being stolen. I have never heard of a key being affected by another device but I am sure it is possible of the RF or magnetic field is strong enough. Unfortunately sometimes keys go bad or need to be re-programmed for unknown reasons.
  3. I think his will say M534 - UK is 433 MHz. And yes, it will be under the right hand seat on UK cars.
  4. Litronics will have a lens (see image below). Halogen look like conventional headlights. If they are Litronics then you would need to add the control box (for each headlight) that move the high and low beam together for high beam performance. The lights will work fine without doing that - just that the high beams will be halogen only.
  5. As I said in your PM... please read the FAQ. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  6. You already have a thread open about this - please do not double post. Many times you can not "see" the crack in the coolant tank until you take it out.

  11. You need to find someone that has (and is familiar with opening the engine/changing heads etc.). IMHO.
  12. Sorry, misunderstood your request. 996.107.981.00 Engine protection plate -- US MSRP $108.16
  13. Boxster Coolant Tank = near right rear wheel. Regards, Maurice. forgot it was a Boxster
  14. I am confused as to what you are asking. The GT2 uses coil overs so they should have all the hardware you need.
  15. Sorry, if the leak is near the left rear wheel is very likely the coolant tank. There have been 5 or 6 coolant tank revisions - so Porsche knows they are a problem. I doubt the clutch replacement had anything to do with it.
  16. Yes, it could be almost anything from a loose gas cap to a bad MAF to a bad AOS. You need the fault code(s) to go any further. If you plan on DIY work I would recommend the Durametric Software.
  17. Sorry, but step 1 should have been to measure the fuel pump output volume.
  18. Airbag fault code 46 is the drivers seat belt buckle.

  20. Unless they are damaged or rusted you can reuse the sleeves from your existing mufflers. Same with the hanger brackets. My PSE mufflers came with brackets so I just bolted them on - but since these came from eBay you will have to see if the muffler hanger brackets came with. The dash switch is not included in that parts list. You will have to choose whether you wan the the one for the left side of the console or the right side.
  21. :welcome: 996.106.147.08 coolant tank 98 - on -- US MSRP $282.79
