  1. Anne, you don't need to wait for the next WOCD. If you have some work for them to do then give them a call or email. Some things just take time - even a good clear bra install takes 4 hours or so.
  2. Take some pics and post them - please.
  3. Coupe or Cab? 51 is for Coupe spoilers 04 is for Cab spoilers
  4. Yes, there is no difference between the 5 speed and 6 speed shifters.
  5. Do you have ParkAssist?
  6. I have XPEL and so far it does not yellow at all.
  7. I would start with coil packs and spark plugs.
  8. Are you talking about the compensation plates?
  9. The proper way is to add the two special DRT relays. I am not sure if anything else needs to be done. If you bought it from a dealer I would think that they have an "obligation" to fix it for free - since DRT are required in Canada. Another option for you would be to do that DRT "hack". Here is a link: DRL Hack
  10. :welcome: Here is Porsche's write up of how it works: (probably more than you want to know) "Daytime lights, Canada (country-specific equipment) The daytime lights comprise parking lights, side lights, registration plate lights, and the low-beam lights. 1. Functioning with light switch off - Up to "ignition on" ignition key position: Daytime lights not functioning. - Engine started: Daytime lights are activated via engine-running signal. If the engine stalls, the daytime lights remain lit. - Engine is switched off, ignition key at "0" position: Low-beam light is switched off, the parking lights and registration plate lights remain switched on. If the ignition is switched on from this position, the low-beam light is switched on again. - Ignition key is removed: Daytime light is completely switched off. - High-beam light cannot be activated in the above mentioned cases - except headlight flasher. - Instrument illumination does not function. 2. Functioning with light switch at position 1 - Parking and registration plate lights light up irrespective of daytime lights. - Low-beam lights are also switched on when engine is started. - High-beam lights cannot be activated - except headlight flasher. - Instrument illumination functions. 3. Functioning with light switch at position 2 - Parking and registration plate lights light up irrespective of daytime lights. - If ignition is switched on, high-beam or low-beam lights are also activated depending on the position of the high/low beam light switch. - Instrument illumination functions. General If the "daytime lights" control unit is disconnected and the light switch is switched on, apart from the daytime lights the registration plate lights as well as the circuit for additional low-beam lights with high-beam lights are also inoperative."
  11. Per Porsche's 199 Tech Book... "Auxiliary Air Pump To reduce pollutants contained in the exhaust gas during the warm-up phase and to achieve the emission limits of the roll test in the USA, USA vehicles have a secondary air system. For this reason, an electric air pump has been mounted on the left-hand side of the engine compartment (Carrera). This pump is activated by the DME control unit and blows the additional air through air ducts to the discharge valve. A pneumatic switching valve which is closed when the secondary air system is inactive thus preventing the flow of additional air is installed between the air pump and the discharge valve. Functioning If the engine is started in a temperature range between minus 10.5° C and plus 45° C, the secondary air system is activated for a period of time dependent on the start temperature (min. 50 seconds, max. 179 seconds). The secondary air system is only activated if the following engine-related operating conditions apply: - Engine load (TL) between 0.7 ms/rev, and 4.7 ms/rev. - Air mass (ML) not greater than 300 kg/h - Engine speed between 680 rpm and 2,800 rpm - Altitude adaptation factor greater than 0.76 corresponding to less than 2,400 meters above sea level."

  13. Another item for the WOCD... We are considering asking MARS (Mobile Appearance Reconditioning Service) to be there if there is enough interest. They do clear bra, scratch and dent repair, windshield repair, and many more things. If you think this is a good idea and have some work for them please post here so we can get them scheduled up for the next WOCD. Any big jobs can be scheduled at the WOCD and done later too...

  15. :welcome: Fault code 4460 Pressure sensor Possible cause of fault - Short circuit to ground/B+ or open circuit - Plug connection on stop light switch faulty - Incorrect adjustment of the stop light switch - Wiring/plug connection between pressure sensor and control module faulty - Pressure sensor faulty Note! A malfunction of the stop light switch can cause this fault. The stop light switch must have switched before a brake pressure is recognised. When the brake pedal is actuated, the stop light switch and the brake lights are triggered. The brake pressure on the pressure sensor is 0 bar. Have you checked your brake lights? If they are out then chances are your brake light switch is bad Does you car have PSM? or Traction control? I am looking at the hydraulic units in the parts list and the price seems at least $1000 higher than MSRP.
  16. They need to look at "pending fault codes" -- since it keeps clearing itself.

  18. Or remove the battery with the key in the on position.
  19. Um... You already posted this in the 997 GT3 area and I already answered it there... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...st&p=116621
  20. Check the cable alignment using the Porsche tool and also have a look under the car for bent shifter arms on the transmission.
  21. Try 5626 or 5624 Hi Loren, I tried both but it didn't work. Here's more information on my radio. Becker 1 CR-220 Is there another code that I could try. Thank you! 47/98 Did you read this? Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
