  1. Test by putting meter leads on the battery plus and minus posts - engine not running.
  2. You can buy the same stuff on Amazon for much less.
  3. Simple test for a Porsche specific scan code -- P1579 = Bad Crankshaft Position Sensor
  4. Have someone press down on the hood while you pull the cable. If the latch is slightly out of alignment that should help.
  5. Did you use the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ? If not, then please do so and re-submit.
  6. You have two problems... First check fuses. 61 is a door lock not actuating. Could be a bad microswitch. 12 relates to a door lock also. 58 No current in tank servomotor despite relay actuation Possible cause of fault - Short circuit to ground/open circuit in the wiring between the switching element for the filler flap and the alarm system control module - Open circuit in wire between ground point 7 and alarm system control module - Switching element for filler flap faulty - Control module faulty
