  9. Did you check the TSBs on this subject?
  10. Is a TSB a recall as well? From the Glossary at the top right of any page: TSB Technical Service Bulletin. Porsche issues TSB's for part number changes, installation of options and accessories, approved oils, tires, wheels, etc. Recalls are NOT covered in TSB's.
  11. The hardware is basically the same as a real PST2. Realize that PST2 was discontinued in 2004 so it does not support (and will not be updated) for the later model cars. It all comes down to trusting the seller on eBay.
  12. I have the exact same problem on my 99 996 cab trying to connect with Durametric. I can only see the ECU info. Can't see any of the module. "Module Failed to Initialize" Any idea what might be causing this? Thanks, Fred You need to send a support request to Durametric - http://www.durametric.com/support.aspx
  13. You need to find where exactly the leak is coming from.
  14. Sounds like a bad switch and perhaps lock too.

  17. :welcome: Please try our Search feature. This has been covered here literally hundreds of times...
  18. Has the cluster ever been out? Any chance that a connector is loose?
  19. Yes, they are different but I do not know the differences. 997 - 997.111.221.03 and 997.111.222.03 997 S - 997.111.421.04 and 997.111.422.04
  20. Try 7657 or 7655 Thanks for that Loren. Tried both with no luck. Just waiting for the 60 minutes to expire to try the '2 rule'. Many thanks for all your help - you really are #1... W No luck. Tried 7653, 7655, 7657, 7659 and 7661. Oh well, never mind! Thanks for trying Loren, much appreciated! Does it matter to where the radio/car is shipped? I'm in the UK. W No, country does not matter if it works then it works if it doesn't then it doesn't. You did get the serial number from the FAQ procedure not off a card in the car? Got the serial number by pressing TP for 10 seconds then turning the right hand knob as per your earlier instructions... W Then you can try the other things in the FAQ.

  22. No relay. Here is a link to the 996 DIY - the Boxster will be the same except that the transmission is turned 180 degrees and you will likely have to remove some support panels to reach it. Replacing Reverse Lights/Back-Up Lights Switch
  23. Start by checking fuses. B5 is the backup lights and B10 is the parking assistant. If both are fine then you likely have a bad backup light switch (on the transmission).
