  1. :welcome: According to the TSB "Additional new features can be found in the Owner’s Manual or Quick Reference Guide for the PCM2.1 as of model year 2006." All the other instructions are for Porsche Techs doing the install. They are based on the options and current level of your software prior to upgrading. It is TSB 32-07 9110 PCM2.1 - Navigation Update -- dated July 11, 2008. All our Contributing Members here have access to read all TSBs online. They can also use the Retail Price Search feature, and access the Contributors Only Forum. They can send attachments with PMs, image storage limits are raised for all Contributing Members, RennTech.org email addresses are available and a personal Blog. Contributions help defer the cost of running this site and providing this information to you. No one has to contribute but many members do. Without contributions this site would either have to go subscription or cease to exist.
  2. Please follow the FAQ - if nothing in the FAQ works you will need to contact a dealer. Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  3. Hi Loren, I have the same code and used a diagnostic tool to determing if the airflow differs on idle and at 2500. There's a higher reading on 2500 RPM which indicates that my MAF is working. Is that a sufficient test or there's a specific airflow value that we should expect on idle and 2500 RPM? I just want to make sure before I purchase a precat 02 sensor. Because as per as the fault code, it is a precat 02 sensor problem. Thank you in advance! Model and year of your car? Its a 2000 Porsche 911 C4. Thanks! P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit Potential causes: – Incorrect signal from MAF sensor – Intake air system leaking – Fuel pressure too low – Volume supply of fuel pump too low – Fuel injectors fouled – Exhaust system leaking You have an air leak most likely. Bank 2 is the precat sensor right? Can this be a fouled precat 02 sensor or it's not even a probable cause? Thanks! I do not think this is an O2 sensor problem. There are different fault codes for that. The sensors are tested at startup and again with the engine warm - to see that they are correctly operating. If they are not they throw a different code.

  6. Since you have M534 I assume this is an RoW car that operates are 433 MHz? Are you sure they did the proper country coding? Does the key fob lock/unlock work? Did you check the wiring harness connectors for corrosion and damage? If all of that is right then you may have a bad immobilizer.
  7. Did you know RennTech.org has a full option listing for most Porsche's? It is located here
  8. Ok,i have find something in duramétric software.Maybe what you ask for order type. moduleType = MotronicDME78 996 Selected Displaying infomation about Motronic 7.8 Numéro de pièce Porsche 99661866015 Numéro de pièce fournisseur 0261206579 Numéro de version du logiciel 004161004620 Data Version 0041610046203613 Nombre d'allumages plage 1 780 / 1190h Nombre d'allumages plage 2 0 / 0h Compteur d'heures de service 1222 VIN: WP0BA29993S635195 Type ID DME control unit __996US03 Type de commande 996210 Code pays C02 Type de moteur 9603 Numéro de moteur 66303680 Type de boîte de vitesses G9601 Numéro de boîte de vitesses -1652879616 Code radio 0 Coloris véhicule/capote 39C > Equipement intérieur SD Is that what you want? Yes, 996210 is the correct order type for a Targa. I would say the issue is likely the Durametric software.
  9. I don't think the Durametric reads the Targa module - it is not on their matrix. Probably best to drop them an email and ask to be sure. They are very good about responding to customers. The reason I asked about order type is that many MY2003 cars did not have the order type entered in the DME from the factory. This prevented some system controls from being programmed/or seen. So, in some cases even a Porsche PST2 or PIWIS tester gets a similar error. Once you set the order type correctly - then everything works.
  10. What is the year and model of your car? And, in your option codes codes does it show a country option?
  11. Sorry to say I am a little lost, Eric the plug guy? I searched it but came up with a long list. Thanks bumperplugs.com
  12. Should be a plug on the wires - perhaps behind the air duct. Yes, just push it out.
  13. I have nothing against Amsoil - but it is not on Porsche's "Approved Oils" list. Their latest list is twelve pages long and lists 56 manufacturers. This list is updated yearly by Porsche.
  14. What does it show for order type on your DME info page?
  15. I don't think PCM1 was very good to start with - my $400 TomTom GPS does more...
  16. Does it continue to blow smoke? If so, do a search here for AOS repairs and also have a look at the oil filler tube. Both are plastic and will eventually break.
  17. :welcome: On US cars it is fused through the same fuse (and relay) as the emissions air blower - which is a 40 A fuse. If the emissions blowers starts when the car is cold and runs for a couple of minutes then the fuse is good and I suspect either your engine compartment purge fan did not meet the criteria to turn on or the fan/wiring is bad.
  18. As long as the leather is not damaged (scratched, torn or worn through) - I use the Lexol pH Leather Cleaner to remove the salts, oils, and dirt. Followed by the Lexol Conditioner. As I said as long as the leather is not damaged any good quality leather treatment should work. Just be sure you clean off any excess - you don't want the wheel slippery.
  19. MY99-01 is a single allen bolt from the bottom.
  20. Your car does not have the MOST (fiber optic) bus - so I think it would be a lot of work. Also, more info from the DME is used in the newer PCM - and that is information that is not available in your DME.
  21. Leather, Carbon Fiber, or Wood?
