  1. P1255 Boost Pressure Characteristic, Upper Value Exceeded - Above Limit Possible fault cause - Leakage at pressure hoses from frequency valve to the bypass flaps - Frequency valve faulty - Vacuum modulators for bypass flaps leaking - Bypass flaps incorrectly adjusted I would start by looking for a loose pressure hose - fairly common on older cars.
  2. You are not going to get much out a normal aspirated engine - IF you get 30 RWHP then that is great. Most vendors exaggerate. The DME has software that will flag any changes (from factory) settings - so you would need software that can revert back to original. Softronic says they can do that.
  3. Do a search here on horn problems - chances are your problem is the steering wheel bushings.
  4. New model year production usually starts in August so your car would be an early MY99 car.
  5. SoCal near LA. I provided the title. A dealer in Irvine and another in Norwalk. I may try Roseville/Rocklin up in NorCal in a few weeks when I drive up there. They were kind enough to enable my OBC for free (after a fair amount of haggling and "accepting all liabilty"). Perhaps they would be more open? Perhaps I am just using the wrong tactic. Please PM me for more information.
  6. Where are you located? Did you show proof of ownership?
  7. Try 6837 or 6935 Hi Loren I tried both codes, now I got WAIT When you go up and down is it always in two's with the last 2 digits? Thanks Some folks have have had luck with one digit.
  8. :welcome: Lost Radio Code - FAQ after you have read the above and done as instructed then: Lost Radio Code - post your request here
  9. Ok folks - calm down. Please get this thread back on topic or it will be closed.
  10. Switched means power is only there when the car is switched on (with the ignition key). Unswitched means that power is always present - even when the car is off. Be careful what you put on unswitched power as it could drain your battery.
  11. 955.731.038.02 is a right side convex mirror 955.731.040.02 is a right side convex mirror (US version) Sorry, I do not know what is different in the US version vs. the RoW version.
  12. 955.044.802.30 flared wheel arch set (w/o mud flaps, w/o sill cover) -- US MSRP $861.45 or 955.044.802.31 flared wheel arch set (w/o mud flaps, w/o sill cover) -- US MSRP $861.45 Sorry, the parts list does not say what is different about these..
  13. Need to know if the car has: 1. mud flaps 2. sill covers Part numbers are different depending on those options.
  14. Howdy stranger - long time no see... Try 7794 or 7792
  15. In Litronic headlights the low beam is Xenon and the high beam is Halogen. When you add in the control module the Xenon is tilted up to merge with the Halogen for high beams. Try the lights on both low and high beam.
  16. Unlike older Becker radios the CDR-23 is the first fiber optic networked radio (MOST) for Porsche. As Richard said, you will need a PST2 or PIWIS to select the "Vehicle Version Coding (Coupe, Cab, or Targa)", the "Air Conditioning", the "LDH/RHD Option", and the "Tuner Parameters (Europe, USA, South America, Australia, Asia, (South) Africa, Japan" on the CDR-23.
  17. Every donation helps keep this site operating and up-to-date - thank you!
  18. Found the TSB in the library and also got a printable copy from my Porsche parts contact. That TSB (at least at the initial reading) is the most convoluted and confusing document I've read in a long time. I plan to carefully read it again to attempt to make sense of it and determine if my PCM & Bose units are up to the level required for the update. I think Porsche purposely writes Tech Bulletins in a confusing manner to deter DIY. LOL - Porsche does not write them for DIY period. These are dealer/OPC only documents. But I guess now we know why so many dealership shops have trouble with what should simple stuff.
  19. 2. Yes, TSB 7/04 9110 PCM2.1 & BOSE Amplifier Spare Parts Requirements -- Jul 5, 2005 3. Check the same TSB for VIN and hardware levels.
  20. Did you look in the DIY section? ;) How To Replace Rubber Bellows Under 996 Rear Spoiler
