  1. :welcome: Where are you located?
  2. There is no link - shop times are in POSES which is not available to the public.
  3. Time to check the wire harness and MAF connector.
  4. Basically it is engine at operating conditions (i.e. warmed up). Secondary Air Diagnostic conditions - Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V - Time after engine starts > 1 second EVAP Diagnostic conditions – V8 - Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V - Time after engine starts > 11 minutes and 30 seconds - Idle speed - All oxygen sensors ready for operation - No oxygen sensor fault stored - No tank vent driver fault stored
  5. "Ready status The "Ready Status" menu item inidicates whether the OBD system has performed the required fault checks since the last time the 'fault memory was erased' or 'reset'. If a check proves to be OK, the oneoff check is sufficient for a Ready status; if the system is faulty, the Ready status is achieved after a second check. This is important, for example, for Inspection and Maintenance; this is where it is possible to detect whether the fault memory of a faulty vehicle was erased before the examination, without the cause(s) of the fault having been remedied. The ready status is displayed for the following sub-systems: - Oxygen sensor heater - Oxygen sensor - Secondary-air system - Fuel tank ventilation system - Cat. conv. efficiency Once the Ready status has been reached for a sub-system, this is stored until the next time the "fault memory is erased". Note: in some countries (currently: USA, Canada), it is necessary to restore the Ready status following manipulation of the DME before the vehicle is supplied to the customer. - To do this, you must perform the short test available in the 9588 Porsche System Tester ll or a test drive to achieve the relevant diagnostic conditions (these are listed for each system at the beginning of the test instructions for P codes in this manual)." The dealer should have done this before he delivered the vehicle.

  7. As far as I know there is no documentation of exactly what conditions need to be met for Ready. I suspect it is based on what what the prior fault(s) were. Have you checked to see that you have no fault codes and no pending fault codes?
  8. If you have no CEL and no fault codes the "Ready" state will change when there are enough drive cycles. We suspect they do this so that you can cheat on smog tests. You just need to drive the car for a week or so until it passes the Ready test.

  10. Proper offset for a MY2000 Carrera for 18" wheels is: Front - 50 to 52 mm Rear - 63 to 65 mm You may be able to achieve this with spacers - but you will need to check for rubbing/fit.
  11. Common on body parts and some other parts that are made up of sub assemblies.
  12. If you have not read the Porsche's TSB (16/08 4440 Summer Tires, Wheels and Spacers -- dated Aug 22, 2008) on tires, wheels and spacers - I think that would be a good place to start.
  13. That is the sub-assembly number NOT the part number.
  14. Are sure that is not an assembly number? The part number for a MY99 Carrera is 996.505.411.08.G2X
  15. You will need to remove the engine cover, and intake air distributor to get to the starter.
  16. If the hoses have not been updated to the later silicone hoses - that is fairly minor. If you are buying this car - get a PPI and ask for a CPO (or 3rd party warranty).
  17. No, you want 999.192.379.50 poly-rib belt -- US MSRP $92.54
  18. Try 2540 or 2538 hi loren, thank you for the code but they are don work.i put one, after the second and nothink.what can i do new? Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  19. The trick most drivers use a Laguna Seca is to point the exhaust to the inside of the track.
  20. Did you see the Glossary link at the top right menu? Digital Motor Electronics - Porsche's engine management system, the Bosch "Motronic" system, that controls both fuel injection and ignition functions. Softronic is the only product that I am aware of that can switch back to stock. The quote about "total neutral at inspections" is untrue. All Porsche DME's since MY2002 have had technology added that can detect an altered DME program. Upsolute uses a "piggyback chip". Even if the dealers PST or PIWIS does not see - it is physically on the DME (in plain site).
  21. Steering wheel removal and airbag removal...
