  1. US cars only got the one suspension. You could go RoW030 or X73.
  2. Interior pieces are usually painted (or covered) and exterior pices are usually not painted.
  3. You will need at least the pill from the old key.
  4. "assume" = bad word especially for shops - if it was not on the invoice (warranty or not) then it likely was not done. Sounds like the same or similar problem.
  5. Perhaps this should get moved to the DIY section? What do you folks think?
  6. Yes, this is a Tipronic fault code - so I think the Durametric can clear it. It indicated a jamming/sticking oil pressure circuit in the transmission. When was the fluid changed?
  7. Search and ye shall find... ;) http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=56360

  11. I can't remember for sure - I get confused with the cruise control because we usually turn both on at the same time. I know for sure the cruise control has to be turned on both places for MY01 and newer Boxsters. Check in the cluster first and if it is not there then check the DME too.
  12. As I recall it will take two places to change the coding. Once in the DME (to turn the option on) and once in the instrument cluster (under coding). Be sure they scroll down the list in the instrument cluster to find it.
  13. Please keep your content here PORSCHE related - thank you.
  14. Everyone that does logo merchandise wants a "minimum order" - sometimes several hundred items. RennTech.org contributions have paid site operating costs the last couple of years - but not enough extra for anything like that - but I will certainly keep it in mind. Perhaps with the economy the way it is the "minimum order" quantities will come down? But, then again perhaps contributions here will also be down... time will tell.
  15. :welcome: Please do a Search here - this topic has been covered many times.
  16. Year of your car please - the programming is different when the cluster changed in MY2001.
  17. From the Porsche Technik Book for the 997S... "This reservoir is activated via a vacuum-controlled flap as a function of engine speed and using temperature compensation. The flap opens in the temperature range between 0 and 30 °C at between approx. 4,600 and 4,800 rpm and closes at between approx. 6,000 and 6,250 rpm."
  18. I checked it is an 02 70C so I asume that means an 03 70C wont work? Sorry for the repitition but a good price for a new 03 70C is at muy local shop. THanka again. Sorry, but you are correct. That cluster (02 70C) is for a MY01 style cluster - so that is what you will need to replace it. As I said before that was a change over year and you got the newer style cluster.
  19. Ok, my bad, perhaps a little better analysis --- check your gas cap. A loose or missing gas cap can give the same fault.
  20. Not true. Durametric can give you many actual value readings like MAF air flow, O2 sensor voltages, etc.
  21. I have the tow hook. The hole in the front bumper does not match up with the hook recepticle (nice :o ) There is no hole in the rear bumper and I have no idea where to make one. Of course I will get a flat bed. I'm using my mechanics tow service. Thanks for all the advice On US/Canada cars the rear tow hook hole is behind the license plate.
  22. According to the (Porsche) schematics for MY1990 964 - they had the same. It might have been a mid-model year change.
