  1. Please state the exact model, year and transmission type for the steering wheel that you want. Thanks. Oh hi, Loren. :) Yeah, it's for my '05 997S, manual, in Stone Grey. I have the standard Multi-function Steering Wheel that was the only option available when I ordered the car. Since then, a thicker rim version of that wheel has been available when spec-ing a car for order. I'd like to order one and swap my standard out and replace with the thicker one, using all the trim, air bag, & components from the old. TIA 997.347.980.00.B24 Sports steering wheel in stone grey (option XPA, 480) -- US MSRP $2013.33

  11. The only blank piece that I know of is for the Carrera Wing used on Cabriolets. In this case it replaces the light lens in the rear window. I do not know if that will work for you but here is the part number. 996.504.980.00 Cover; primered; material: ABS (for brake light under rear window) with Porsche logo. I do not know if it is still available.

  13. As many folks here are already aware Adrian Streather did some of his research here at RennTech.org and Rennlist.com. The knowledgeable members of these forums helped him get much of the information he needed to write the book.
  14. 1. Get your battery tested. 2. Yes, if you leave the key in the ignition some circuits are activated (specifically the airbag circuit). Leaving the key in the ignition is a bad practice. 3. If the problem continues you need to put an amp meter in line with the battery and measure the current draw. An average Carrera should around 40-60 ma. If it is higher then pull fuses one at a time until you find the circuit with the draw. Once you find the circuit then you find the source of the draw.

  20. Top bolts adjust rear toe. Bottom bolts adjust rear camber. You should not mess with these unless you have alignment tools. Thanks Loren. I guess these are suppose to move as I corner etc? so is the placement appear to be okay? nothing to worry about? No, they should only move when an alignment specialist moves them.

  23. Check for a set screw - if none then twist and pull at the same time.
