    Start by checking the clutch switch (bypass it).

    It is not the PIWIS - it is the DME that will not allow you to change those items. If you have a new DME you can program it to the old DME settings - but (for legal reasons I am sure) you can not re-program certain settings in an old DME.

    If you had a coil pack problem you would have misfires and a a CEL. Time to look more closely at the possibility of air leaks.
