Which serial number is displayed?
  3. Try 8234 or 8232 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  4. P0410 and P1411 have nothing to do with your MAF. P0410 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 1 – Below Limit P1411 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 2 – Below Limit Did you disconnect the air pump? Check the fuse and wiring connector on your secondary air pump.
  5. Try 1388 or 1386 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  6. The radio connection would not cause the alarm to go off - you have a different/other alarm problem. You will need to run the Durametric software, a PST2, or PIWIS on your car and find out what the alarm faults are.
  7. :welcome: If it was factory installed - yes. It will be on the option code list under the front hood, in the option list stapled in the maintenance manual, and through a VIN search. If you do not have access to the first two PM your VIN and I will check it for you.
  8. Am I reading this right? This means a 2004 986S Special Edition Spyder takes a 986.606.125.01 MAF with NO re-programming of the DME. Yes an no. Yes, that MAF will work fine with not programming -- but no, the part number has no changed to: 987.606.125.00. Part number do change without notice - so it is always good to ask.
  9. Remove and tape the alarm wire from the on radio connection. Covered here elsewhere also.
  10. Sorry, but to my knowledge Porsche has never published paint codes for interior colors. You might give Eric at bumperplugs.com a try - they have matched every color I have seen.
  11. :welcome: Are you talking about item 20 - upper part?
  12. All 4 oxygen sensors bad at one time - not very likely. Please tell us exactly all the codes (previous also if you remember).
  13. Try 9683 or 9681 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  14. Try 8554 or 8552 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Thanks for that quick reply. I will try that today and see if it works. Regards, Pratik I tried those and 8556, it didnt work. Let me know if you need any other info from the device. Thanks, Pratik Please read the FAQ.

  17. Only thing I can think of is that Porsche changed the mounting of that piece - Sorry, I can't find it in the parts list.
  18. Any major brand should be fine size 48 works best. If you buy an Optima - you will have to make a custom mount. Someone did a DIY on that I think it is in the 996 DIY section.
  19. The only clip I can find int he fuel lines that looks like that says only 1 is used per car. The brake lines however seem to use a similar clip and the parts list says "as needed". Is there some reason this one missing clip worries you? Reason I ask is that the two black plastic clips on my air cleaner housing that route the MAF wires have broken - three times. After the 3rd replacement I just said why bother they will just break again.
  20. Hmm... valve lift control fault on both banks at the same time. I think highly unlikely. I would clear the codes and see if they come back.
  21. After you sprayed the contct cleaner into the buckle, didi you still need to use the Durametric? Yes, you will need a special tool to turn an air bag light - it can not be cleared by any other method.
  22. Is there only one clip (that connects to the line) and is on a fuel line?
  23. You may be worrying too much. The DME is supposed to turn that fan on and only long enough to clear the hot air in the engine compartment. I have only had mine come once or twice - and then only after coming off the track. The only way to check to make sure it is working to spec is to use a PST2 or PIWIS to monitor the engine compartment temperature and then see if it turns on when it reaches the preset temperature - and it will never get there at idle or most normal driving conditions.
