  1. Sorry, you are right no magnet (I was thinking of a different car). Make sure the teeth or the flywheel ring was not damaged during installation.
  2. Looks like 996.106.665.57 replaces 996.106.665.55 so that should be the correct hose. that hose should go on the left side of the car (viewed as you sit in the car).
  3. "Actuation To ensure that the required fuel pressure and the necessary amount of fuel are provided, the DME control unit actuates! the fuel pump for approx. 1 second whenever the ignition is, switched on (pump priming). To trigger another pump priming operation, the running engine must be switched off and the ignition then switched on again. In addition, the fuel pump is activated by the DME control unit whenever the engine speed exceeds 15 rpm." The last sentence is important since you have a P0336 Engine Speed Sensor Signal – Open Circuit. Is the engine speed sensor plugged in? or is the magnet missing from the flywheel?
  4. Try 0947 or 0945 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Thank you! I know I didn't do this quite right so thanks for your patience. Hi, these codes didn't work.I also tried the numbers that were one off (0944, 0946,0948). Any other suggestions? Yes, read the FAQ.
  5. Fuse C4 (25A)? Fuel pump relay? (position 13 - 996.615.101.00)

  7. Did you read my reply to your last post? I think not. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST These do not get answered here. This thread is closed.
  8. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Lost radio codes requests will only be taken in the thread identified in the FAQ. This thread is closed.
  9. All the parts are GT3 parts. What are the part numbers on the hoses? Do they match my list?
  10. :welcome: How old is your battery? If it is 4 years old or older buy a new one. Another possibility is a bad ignition switch - all kinds of strange (electrical) things happen when the ignition switch wears out.
  11. Sorry, but you are likely chasing something that is not a problem. It has been stated here before DO NOT TRUST THE TEMPERATURES FROM THE AC PANEL HACK. Use the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester. The DME determines the need to turn the fans on based on the criteria I mentioned in the previous link.
  12. Loren, Bumper came off a 2000 model (see picture) I double checked the part number and it is stamped "996 505 983 01"?? That bumper looks correct. But the fab assembly number is not the part number.
  13. :welcome: Please give us the model and year of your car. The fuel pump stops when optimum pressure is reached and unless you have leaking fuel injectors - it can't flood. What are the symptoms?
  14. 000.721.964.70 Tool - Hook spanner -- US MSRP $75.49
  15. Sounds like one of those re-program the control unit problems. Some 997's seem to have a lot of weird electrical problems until your OPC/dealer re-programs the lighting control units.
  16. 996 505 983 01 is for a MK2 GT3 as is 996 505 983 02. Mk1 GT3 bumpers start with 996 505 980 xx.
  17. Very odd. The sticker under the boot shows the following codes and the previous owner had a Porsche Option Decoder listing the same codes. They are: 09991, 139, 265, 266, 340, 498, 513, 586, 680, 692, C02, X97, X98, 059, 635, 652, 662, 00501. The 00501 appear on the last line of the options list under the boot followed by the 09991 code. The only ones I couldn't find descriptions for were the 652 but someone said this is sunroof delete (car has Turbo script on rear deck) and the 00501. The 059 code is uncertain on the decoder information says: Possibly means bumpers with impact absorbers, factory delete. Would appreciate knowing what codes you found using your source. Cheers! Since this is a special request inquiry that we use an outside resource for we have decided to only do it for our Contributing Members. I'm sure you understand that if we didn't restrict this in some way we could end up running thousands of VINs for people that may or may not even own cars (potential purchases etc.). And, then it would be very likely that our resource would get over taxed and decide not to help us anymore. Thanks for understanding.
  18. Your build date is on the drivers door sticker. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...st&p=121312 Your factory options do not list option 501 (or 00501).

  21. Yes, there are instructions from Porsche (TSB) - available to view for our Contributing Members. Hi Loren. I just became a contributing member, since this BB has be INCREDIBLE with the information. Where can I find the TSB instructions you're referring to? There is a Search in the Current TSBs section - I just searched for CDC (under 997-1). 2/04 9160 CDC-4 CD Changer Installation Instructions (I No. 692) -- dated Jul 7, 2006
