  1. :welcome: Have you tried our Search? This has been covered many times before.
  2. Do a search here and you will see that the dealer(or shop) needs ALL existing keys to just to reprogram one key. That is because the car alarm/drive block has 4 key ID locations - so they need to make sure they disable the right key and not the wrong key. This is really for your safety.
  3. Did you read post #1 in this thread? http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...dpost&p=100
  4. Hi, you can Diassemable your DELL to take out your HDD and purchase a DELL C600,C610,or C640 LAPTOP, The HDD are the same for all 3 of them, You can purchase one on EBAY in VERY GOOD condition with NO HDD so you dont have to Disassemble the one you buy on EBAY. If you need help Disassemabiling it EBAY also sells the MANNUELS., concerning the card, the PST2 will automatically pick it up. :help: :help: This is my situation and hopefully you can help, i have V22 or PIWIS & PST2 on a IBM T30 HDD the only thing i need is a "card" as you mentioned, would you happen to have a spare PST2 card or know someone that could SELL me one. :thankyou: :help: Check for the Bosch interface cards on European eBay - they show up there from time to time.
  5. Please give our search a try next time... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=23967 http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=58228
  6. Security Torx - needs a hole in the center. Covered here many times before.
  7. Model and year of your car please? AND - is it US/Canada or RoW - because they are different. US cars can be unplugged (the horn is next to the battery. RoW cars require a special key sequence.
  8. P0740 Torque converter clutch, excessive power consumption Possible fault cause: - Torque converter clutch not functioning I would clear this one and see if it comes back in normal driving. P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit or P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Below Limit P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Below Limit I would start by cleaning the MAF and checking the throttle body for oil. I always run my car 3/4 full on oil at the track.
  9. 000.043.204.32 seat belt buckle repair kit -- US MSRP $49.27
  10. Try 7020 or 7018 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  11. Get a good scan tool and read the fault codes. Then report back here. Without the fault coed(s) everything is guess.
  12. Without the PST2 or PIWIS fault codes everything just a guess. Ask them what the exact fault codes(s) were.
  13. The Retail Price Search feature (for our Contributing Members) has been updated to reflect June 2009 pricing for the US (only). We try to update this on a monthly basis as the price lists come available to us. For June 2009 the price lists support: US: 275,515 parts Thanks again to Contributing Member Porschelibrarian!
  14. Perhaps the alarm box under the drivers seat got wet? Pretty common in a Boxster.
  15. They do not need to pull the radio to get the serial - you can access it (as described in the FAQ) through the front panel. Becker can also get you the code over the phone for a small fee ( I think it was $30 last time I checked). I told them that i have all the info but still would not help. Naplenton Porsche, i wish i never moved out western burbs tried call other dealers but all i get is voice mail with no return calls yet. How do i get in touch with becker? TIA. In the "Links" link at the top right of any page... http://www.beckerautosound.com/
  16. 996.613.112.01 microswitch -- US MSRP $4.98
  17. A PIWIS tester does not use a PCMCIA interface card - only the PST2 does. For a PIWIS you would need a Bosch KTS 520 or KTS 550.
  18. They do not need to pull the radio to get the serial - you can access it (as described in the FAQ) through the front panel. Becker can also get you the code over the phone for a small fee ( I think it was $30 last time I checked).
  19. Porsche branded spark plugs are pre-gapped (providing no one has dropped them).
  20. I have not seen them published yet - but I'll keep an eye out for them. I suspect hat the 997-1 ranges will be very close to the 997-2. The 997-1 DME records the following rev ranges: Range 1: 7300-7500 RPM Range 2: 7500-7700 RPM Range 3: 7700-7900 RPM Range 4: 7900-8400 RPM Range 5: 8400-9500 RPM Range 6: 9500-11000 RPM
  21. Try 1072 or 1070 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  22. P1530 Camshaft Adjustment, Bank 1 Potential causes: - Short to ground. - Actuator faulty. Check to see if the triggering wires is shorted to ground. Unless it is a electrical harness problem then you likely need a new actuator. P1313, P1313, and P1315 are misfires on that same engine bank (cylinder 1, 2, 3). P1319 just means multiple misfires. This gives credibility to the actuator problem.
  23. Yes, you have a bad ignition switch. If you do not want to have problems again - go the whole route and replace the ignition lock assembly.
  24. Are you trying to remove the whole ignition lock assembly and switch or just the electrical switch?
  25. HOLD ON THERE PARDNER! owner said the car "ran" poorly on hot start-up...that has absolutely nada to do with the starter. Actually I don't think he said it ran poorly - he says it won't start after it is hot.
