  1. No, can not be done with any tool - you would have to hard wire them to a switch. In that case you are taking control away from the DME.
  2. Try 4694 or 4792 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  3. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Please post in the specific thread as requested in the FAQ. This thread is closed.
  4. Loren - I read this post and I am having a similar problem. I asked the dealer to look into it and was told that sometimes dust gets into the ABS sensors and to try and "hard brake" to see if it could be dislodged. They said that if that didn't work, I would need a $3,500. computer replacement. Needless to say, the "hard braking" didn't do a thing. Could my problem be as bad as the dealer indicated or are they just churning for dollars? The dust line was just that a line. The ABS sensors are magnetic sensors. Find someone with the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester and have them check for fault codes and run the diagnostic test on the ABS/PSM system. It would be unusual for it to be the controller - 9 time out of 10 it is a bad brake switch or even a bad MAF. Is it possible for the ABS/PSM module to pick up on a faulty maf, and the DME show no faults? Not that I have seen. Have you checked your brake lights?
  5. Look for a rock between the brake rotor and the rotor splash shield - that is the most common.
  6. Ok - you want the amplifier section -- not the PCM. Which amp do you have? Option M490 or option M680?
  7. :welcome: Here is a picture. We are actually putting a Carrera sender on a Boxster that has a Carrera cluster (including the oil pressure gauge).
  8. Did you do a search here? I think not or you have gotten loads of information - as these have been covered many many times. Solve your fault code problems one at a time - you could have more than one problem.
  9. Are you using the new Safari  It still works when I go there - I'm using Firefox.
  10. Clips (1 per side?) 997.505.719.00 Clips -- US MSRP $16.26 each Are you talking about the release inside the car? If so, it is 997.613.105.00.A05 US MSRP $78.14
  11. Please re-read the board Guidelines/Rules that you agreed to when you registered here. I will not upload the whole schematic - that is Porsche copyrighted material - I will upload a specific small section to help you solve your problem. Terminal 30 is unswitched power (+12 VDC) Terminal 31 is ground.
  12. Okay, sorry I understand your picture now - it looks clean. Likely a bad MAF at this point. If you have the Durametric software (or a PST2 or PIWIS tester) you can read the MAF and see if the readings are at spec at idle and 2500 RPM. Only way to be 100% sure it's the MAF.
  13. This is what I am talking about when I say throttle body.
  14. 996.612.070.10 is for the Cab spoilers. Loren, I called Suncoast and they said it's titled "harness, stop light". Will this harness get rid of that spoiler malfunction warning light on the dash? Thanks Edwin Yes, both the spoiler and all the rear lights run through the harness. Loren, The fixed spoiler has a brake light on it too. Will the harness cut that light out too then? Edwin that will depend on what fixed wing you installed - if it is a Porsche factory wing - then yes. If not - your guess is as good as mine.

  16. Try 5441 or 5439 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Thanks for the quick reply. Neither number worked so I went up 2 numbers to 5443. Still didn't work so I locked out for an hour. If the radio is a CD-220 and not a CDR-220 would that make any differance? Once I am alowed back in I plan on dropping down 2 numbers unless you have some other suggestion. Thank you, Hal CD or CDR makes no difference. Thanks again Loren. I'll give the lower number a go shortly. I tried going up and down by two and no luck. Any other suggestions? PLEASE READ the FAQ.
  17. In the US - Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) link at top right. Outside the US - Carnewal.com

  21. Thanks Loren. Is there any difference with this part no.955.358.901.04? Thanks. sclee That part number is marked for MY09 and newer Cayenne's only - and - it is almost twice the price. According to some dealers, this is the new updated compressor (955.358.901.04) for all Manufacturing years. Is that correct? Thanks. sclee Not according to the Porsche Parts List - as I said, is says it is for MY09 and newer only.
  22. If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. Only a dealer or shop with a PST2 or PIWIS tester can replace a MOST bus radio (i.e. CDR-23, CDR-24).

  24. Don't know what a 4S would do to the equation, but my PDK C2 is very responsive. If it did what you describe, I'd be in the shop with it. On a decent slope the brakes grab enough to freak me out - no rolling back for sure, but I need to get used to that. Caveat though - I am only in regular mode as long as I have forgotten to push Sport or S+ (not long) and I don't do Auto very often either. I found a really cool doc "2009_Technik_Introduction_All_997_Carrera_models.pdf" on some forum - could be here or PCA.org, not sure. Anyway, it explains much more about PDK (and more) than ever made it to the Owner's Maunals. Turns out the Sport and Plus modes also effect Manual shifting - cool stuff and makes S+ actually usable in normal driving. Auto and S+ is too over the top for around town for me. I'll attach it - if that's a no-no, sorry, someone delete it. Actually, better, here's the link: (link deleted) Worth a read for sure. Thant document is available here to our Contributing Members - and the linked document was likely taken from here.
