  1. How to Remove the Front Bumper
  2. You realize of course that these components are linked to the audio network via fiber optic lines (MOST)?
  3. X97 = Gear lever knob in leather/aluminum X98 = Handbrake lever in leather/aluminum 239 = ? maybe 238? 476 = Porsche Stability Management (PSM) 502 = ? maybe 602? 584 = Storage box
  4. P0139 Aging of Oxygen Sensor After TWC, Bank 1 Possible causes: - bad oxygen sensor Erase the fault - if it comes back replace the sensor.
  5. 996 C2 18" factory wheel offsets are: Front: 50-52 mm Rear: 63-65 mm
  6. What are the exact fault code(s) please?
  7. You can try a reset - reverse teh battery for about 2 seconds in tput back in the right way. If that does not work you will need to have the key re-programmed or replaced.
  8. There is a complete DIY here
  9. 997.504.124.00 right front wheel well liner -- US MSRP $111.91
  10. The black/yellow wire for the heated washers only has power when the relay for the heater turns on.
  11. Bulb replacement in the cluster has been covered many times here - please do a search.
  12. 955.331.077.00 Self leveling sensor with linkage (PASM and air suspension) -- US MSRP $226.69
  13. Try 4178 or 4176 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  14. Did you look in your Owners Manual? The bulb replacement specs and procedure are in there.
  15. Dirty radiators or stuck thermostat are likely causes. I would start with them. The only way you can really clean the radiator debris is to remove the front bumper and then pull the AC condensers out (slightly).
  16. P0740 Fault, torque converter clutch - present Possible causes: - ATF supply - Torque converter - Pressure regulator 4 (hydraulic) - Electrical triggering to pressure regulator 4 - Hydraulic control unit I would start by having the fluid level checked.
  17. I think you are going to have to look at another CT - none of the diagrams I have show the lines routing - they only show the major components. Perhaps someone here can look on their CT and even take a pic for you.
  18. I have a 2000 Boxster with the 124 part, what are the benefits of the DME re-program if i choose to pay for the newer design? Any fuel or performance benefits? Please do not double post I already answered this in your other post.
  19. I have the older MAF in a 2000 Boxster the 124 part which I can get online. Is it actually worth getting the newer one and doing the re-program? Are there any performance benefits for the hassles? New style sensor (125.00 and 125.01) The modified hot film air mass flow sensor HFM 5 is used, as was already fitted to the Boxster in model year 2000. With the C-shaped air duct, this air mass flow sensor is more resistant to contamination and water droplets, as these can only reach the sensor element after deflexion. A cross bore through the air duct reduces pulsation faults. When replacing an old style HMF sensor on vehicles with a new style HMF sensor, you have to reprogram the DME.
  20. Ok - back Porsche as the topics here.
  21. Loose clamps or hose on the intake, bad o-ring on the oil filler tub, cracked oil filler tube, cracked AOS, yet another fouled MAF (espeically if you are using an oiled filter), etc. If you do not feel comfortable checking these things find a good Porsche shop to do it for you.
  22. Porsche says "911 Carrera (996) as of MY01 (1) every 60,000 miles (96,000 km) or at least every 4 years"
  23. That would be my guess.
  24. P0441 Fuel tank ventilation system above limit value/below limit value Possible causes: - Tank vent faulty (remains stuck in an open or closed position) - Tank vent installed the wrong way round - Leak in scavenging lines between tank vent and positive crankcase ventilation (in the Turbo via a T-piece also on the intake side of the turbocharger) - Scavenging lines between tank vent and positive crankcase ventilation trapped or blocked (in the Turbo via a T-piece also on the intake side of the turbocharger) 1 - Mass air flow sensor, right 2 - Fuel injector, cylinder 1, bank 1 3 - Fuel injector, cylinder 2, bank 1 4 - Fuel injector, cylinder 3, bank 1 5 - Fuel injector, cylinder 4, bank 1 6 - DME control module 7 - Electric fuel pump, right 8 - EVAP canister 9 - Fuel tank 10 - Electric fuel pump, left 11 - Driver's door lock with switch for fuel pump supply 12 - Current distributor with cutoff relay under driver's seat 13 - KESSY control module 14 - E-box in radiator tank with fuse and relay carrier 15 - Pedal sensor 16 - Fuel injector, cylinder 8, bank 2 17 - Fuel injector, cylinder 7, bank 2 18 - Fuel injector, cylinder 6, bank 2 19 - Fuel injector, cylinder 5, bank 2 20 - Tank vent valve 21 - Mass air flow sensor, left 22 - Positive crankcase ventilation heater 23 - Throttle adjusting unit If you need more troubleshooting info let me know...
