  1. :welcome: The history of Porsche diagnostic tools is on their site at this link: http://www.durametric.com/historyofporschediagnostics.aspx The model and feature matrix is also there: http://www.durametric.com/modelfeaturematrix.aspx
  2. The Bentley manual for the Boxster has detailed diagrams and lists of all of the relays and their functions. Not sure if there is a Bentley for the 996. Regards, Maurice. I have not seen a Bentley manual for the 996 - I doubt they will make one as there were whole lot more Boxsters sold than 996's.
  3. Try 5571 or 5569 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I have tried every code from 5544 tp 5604. I checked the serial # and it is correct. Am I doing something wrong? Did you read the FAQ?
  4. 9X6 series cars certainly did have a defroster button (top left above the AUTO button) Have you read the section in your Owners Manual about the climate controls?
  5. Get the UView 550000 Airlock Purge Tool Kit - about $100 US. Do a search here for UView - several have used this kit.
  6. When you disconnect the battery you reset the DME (engine brain). The engine needs to relearn idle and driveability. This may take 10-25 miles of operation. It is best to put the Durametric Software, a PST2 or PIWIS on the car and see what faults you have.
  7. 955.355.305.00 Pressure sensor -- US MSRP $80.95
  8. P0447 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Output Stage) - Open Circuit Possible causes - Wiring harness - Shutoff valve - DME control module
  9. Try 8746 or 8744 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  10. Try 4410 or 4408 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  11. Most 8000 series fault codes are for the sounds system - what tool did you use to get those fault codes?
  12. Try 0299 or 0297 Unfortunately, these did not work. Could there be others or should I head to the dealer? Thanks in advance, Ray PLEASE read the FAQ.
  13. P0445 EVAP Canister Purge Valve – Short to B+/Short to Ground Short circuit to B+ Short circuit to ground – Wiring harness – DME control module P0446 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Function) – Below Limit – Purge air line blocked – Flow resistance of EVAP canister too high
  14. Same as the Cayenne S (answered in post 2 here). http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=64125
  15. :welcome: You need to reset the airbags with a PIWIS tester and then run a fault diagnosis on the whole car.
  16. Model and year of your car please?
  17. 2002 Porsche Boxster Base 2.7 You can find headlight adjustment procedures in your Owners Manual. The process is the for Halogen or Xenon headlights.
  18. You can try to charge the battery - but 4-5 years is all you will get out a battery. I would just go buy a new battery (with a vent line) - see the Battery thread here.
  19. Check your power steering fluid and your coolant tank - both are greenish in color.
  20. Yes, you are correct. One of the benefits of being a Contributing Member here is viewing the Porsche TSBs. This image is from the 14 page TSB Satellite Radio Installation Instructions (I No. QV4).
  21. Try 5512 or 5510 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  22. :welcome: It would be very helpful if you told us: model year, coupe, cabriolet, or Targa. They are each different. apologies. The beast is an 08 carrera S coupe Look at the 996 DIY for the RoW suspension - very close to being identical.
  23. P0735 Gear monitoring, 5th gear - signal implausible ATF level not OK Mechanical/hydraulic fault in transmission. (e.g. solenoid valve does not operate despite correct electrical triggering) - Solenoid valves - Valve chamber - Transmission So, if the ATF level is good then you likely need to put a PST2 or PIWIS on the car and run the Tiptronic diagnostics.
