  1. Ah.... perhaps they want your IPAS codes. Be very careful getting those and handing them over to someone. With those codes you can dupe keys and steal your car.
  2. Try 7113 or 7111 Just back from my mechanic, and those codes did not work. I double-checked the serial number, etc. They also got a code from the dealer (2198) that didn't work either, and the one in the ECM (7168) also didn't work. Any ideas, or do I need to call Becker? If you used the method in the FAQ to display the actual serial number and my guesses did not work - then you will need to call (and pay) Becker. Sorry.
  3. Correct - uploaded programs are different. Plus options for each car need to be set on a per car basis.
  4. All the V8 Cayennes' have the same DME - only the V6 get a different one.
  5. Item 10 -- 986.504.393.00.01C Left cover -- US MSRP $61.61 986.504.394.00.01C Right cover -- US MSRP $61.61
  6. Exact Model and year of your car please?
  7. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST This topic is closed.
  8. Why (if I may ask) are you replacing the engine DME? 955.618.602.00 Control unit - DME -- US MSRP $426.32
  9. 996 355 755 04 is not a valid part number for an ABS controller for a 996 series car. They start with 996.355.955.xx. What model (C2 or C4) and year car did it come out of?
  10. :welcome: If you do a search here you will find this has been covered several times. You need the fixed spoiler wiring harness.
  11. I would put a fault code tester on the car and check for fault codes. If it is running that rough then there should be faults or pending faults.
  12. Yes, but you need to understand there are some fault codes that are very important - especially after an accident. My advice is that you should invest in the Durametric Software so you can see what is going on with your car - especially since you track it.
  13. P0026 Valve lift control, bank 1 output stage - open circuit Possible fault cause - Open circuit in triggering wire - Open circuit in B+ supply - Solenoid hydraulic valve faulty Look for the solenoid valve actuator that protrudes from the cylinder head on that side. Check the connector and the wiring to see if it is damaged - and since this was a crash look to see if the solenoid itself is damaged. My guess is a wire got cut or the connector is damaged.
  14. 955.555.113.00.5V7 Inner door release (stone grey) -- US MSRP $72.88.
  15. An airbag light can only be cleared with the Durametric software, a PST2, or PIWIS tester. Based on the age of your car my guess would be that there is a seat belt buckle problem causing the airbag light. But then that is why I asked you to read the fault codes...
  16. 1. No, not as I recall. 2. Many of the cars that came out of Porsche's factories in MY2003 and 2004 did not have the order code entered in the DME. In order to change any coding the order type must be entered in the DME first. Once that has been done a re-scan is needed before changing any coding. The correct order type for your MY04 GT3 RHD is 996811. 3. Yes it can be done before the wiring change. You will not be able to any change in the cluster readout until the wiring portion is done.
  17. Separate horns. The alarm horn is next to the battery and the car horns are behind the (right) front bumper. Thanks. But is my lack of a functioning horn indicative of the bushing failure? I can't make the horn beep - it just does sitting in the garage. You will need to test the horns and/or inspect the bushings. Usually bad bushings make the horn go off when you don't want it to.
  18. I don't see any oil drains on the 997TT Turbos.
  19. P1571 Immobilizer - open circuit/no signal Possible fault cause - Open circuit in wiring between DME control module and alarm system - Short circuit to ground or short circuit to B+ - Alarm system control module faulty
  20. Try 5550 or 5548 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

  23. Try 0071 or 0069 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  24. At $4000 per rotor I would use only Porsche pads for your ceramic rotors. Check with Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for better pricing.
