  1. Disconnecting them would cause the light to go on. The brake sensors sense an open wire (or connector).
  2. If it is the Porsche concentrate it should be "freeze proof" - provided no one has watered it down. The Porsche stuff (P21S) is really good stuff and will not harm the paint or weatherstripping. If it were my car I would siphon it out and refill with a proper mixture of the P21S Windshield Wash Booster.
  3. Usually 1 minute is enough - 5 minutes is okay too. Don't forget your radio code and station presets.
  4. johnnyv211 - this is what happens when you post your request(s) 6 times (AND IN ALL CAPS) - plus sending me several emails. No codes for you - you are not welcome here.
  5. Disconnect the battery - then reconnect it and then it will re-learn it's idle and power curve. It will run rough for the first few minutes while it adjusts the program.
  6. If your CEL is flashing you should not drive the car. Check your oil for coolant - and check your coolant tank for oil.
  7. Exact model and year of your car please...
  8. Are you not the maker of Video VBOX? (your registered email says you are) If so, please re-read the board Guidelines/Rules about commercial posting. I'll let this one go - but commercial posting is not allowed here. Thanks.
  9. ;) Page 171 of the Owners Manual.
  10. Yes, it is one time - but the hope is that as you continue to use the site you will see it's value and up to date information and donate yearly. The bottom line is that if members continue to contribute to this site then we will keep it a "one time" commitment - but if donations fall off (below the costs of operating the site) then we will either have to go subscription or close the site down. Right now we are about 25-30% behind where we were a year ago (tough economy) and our yearly hosting fee is due the first of December. So, every little bit helps. :thankyou:
  11. See post number 3 - switched power means on when the ignition is on.
  12. Usually that sound is one of the diverter valves. In a few rare cases I have seen it be a bad or loose hose but that is usually more prevalent at wide open throttle.
  13. Probably the microswitch in the door handle.
  14. The Tiptronic and the final drive are separate. There is no drain plug on the final drive. You have to use a hose and vacuum the oil out. The Tiptronic uses Porsche ATF and the final drive uses gear oil (same as the manual transmission).
  15. Yes, all C4 are egas. The question I was responding to was DME 5.2.2.
  16. DME = Digital Motor Electronics - Porsche's engine management system, the Bosch "Motronic" system, that controls both fuel injection and ignition functions. (see the Glossary link at the top right of the page)
  17. Okay are you trying to add this or was it already on the car?
  18. Without the actual fault code(s) everything is guess. There a maybe 300-400 faults that can turn on the CEL.
  19. P0159 Oxygen Sensor Aging After TWC, Bank 2 - Above Limit Possible fault cause - Oxygen sensor faulty - DME control module faulty P0160 Oxygen Sensor After TWC, Bank 2 – Open Circuit Possible fault cause - Open circuit in the signal wire and/or ground wire of oxygen sensor - Loose contact in connector - Open circuit in B+ and/or negative line of the oxygen sensor heating - Oxygen sensor faulty (heating resistance too high) - DME control module faulty Check the wiring. If it all tests ok then perhaps try a DME reprogram.
  20. Sorry, I am not really sure which is the easiest method. Perhaps RFM knows...
