  1. Most likely yes. Sometimes the solenoid gets weak or dies and all the cleaning in the world won't help that.
  2. :welcome: Pretty straight forward - like most of the late model Porsches. Oil drain on the bottom of the sump - us a new sealing washer (the same one they have used for 15 or 20 years) 900.123.106.30 -- US MSRP $0.81 each Oil filter canister on the top of the engine. New filter and o-ring. oil filter 948.107.222.00 -- US MSRP $16.13, O-ring 948.107.322.00 -- US MSRP $6.32 Same oil filter, o-ring and and pan sealing ring are used on the Panamera.
  3. Sidemaker_mod.pdf
  4. Red/Black goes to fuse B4 Orange/White goes to fuse C5 DME control line
  5. 1. Have your battery load tested and also test each cell's specific gravity. 2. No. It is pre-programmed in the DME. You would only need to change it if the physical radio or NAV were changed. 3. Yes, there are some some faults are triggered on loss of power supply (battery). You would need to tell us the fault to be sure.
  6. Try 5293 or 5291 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  7. :welcome: Those are not correct. According to the Porsche parts list MY05 997 S uses: FGR 5KQE0
  8. :welcome: Here are the specs for the MY05 911's (2006 is pretty much the same). 997_1_specs.pdf
  9. Any solid brown wire should do.
  10. If the spoiler is removed then there is a chance you have no ground through the spoiler relay. Try grounding the Orange/Brown side while having someone apply the brakes.
  11. Test the continuity to ground. The Orange brown wire should be ground through the spoiler circuit. Does the spoiler work? - they share the same ground through he spoiler relay. Does the stop light in the spoiler work?
  12. Probably possible but the center vent and mount would need to change as well as the knee kick pad.
  13. What would Porsche have two part numbers if the parts are the same? I have seen the parts side by side but I think it is likely that the Boxster S bumper has the opening for the 3rd radiator and the standard Boxster one does not. If you get the GT3 or the Aerokit (996) front bumper there is a plug that is removed if you have a center radiator. Here is the GT3 front bumper on my car with the plug removed (since I have the 3rd radiator).
  14. :welcome: No, they have different part numbers. Please state the model and year car you want it for - and please state roll cage or Tequipment roll bar. Roll cage is full race sanctioned whereas the roll bar may be up to your local race clubs.
  15. Perhaps a dealer has a set laying around. The TSB did not include the templates - they only came with the GT trim. I have not seen a part number for them either. You might try giving Jeff Clark a call at Sunset Imports and see if he can help you.
  16. Try 3027 or 3025 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  17. 996 505 980 02 G2X is for Boxster and 996 505 980 03 G2X is for a Boxster S
  18. How old is your battery? One sure sign of a failing battery (on Cayennes') is miscellaneous electrical problems. If your battery is over 4 years old I would start there.
  19. Try 2434 or 2432 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Thank you for quick reply, but it doesn't work :( I'm trying: 2432, 2433, 2434 PLEASE read the FAQ.
  20. Thanks Richard - I must have missed that. Moved to 996 forum.
  21. In the future please post this type review in the Reviews section. Thank you. I am closing this topic now.
  22. The instructions do not exist for a 996 series cars. I would use the 997 version as a rough guide.
