  1. :welcome: Seems very odd that a control unit is "missing". It should be behind the interior panel in the left rear corner of the car. The cables should be prewired in the car unless it was not a factory option. Check you option list to make sure that the car even had it.
  2. If it is only after track events and not during normal street driving you may just be forcing fluids (cornering forces) into the heads.
  3. For CDR-23 and CDR24 the car is setup with a PIWIS tester by a shop dealer only.
  4. Model and year of your car please? Check to see if the sensor in the front bumper is damaged or has a loose connection.
  5. Good point - you could order a MY 06 later than the other models then had to wait for MY08.
  6. Did you try changing the battery in the key fob? Where is your spare key?
  7. P1265 Airbag Signal – Signal Implausible Possible causes: – Airbag control module – Break in wiring – Short to ground Note: With any airbag work extreme caution should be used. Check wiring from airbag control module to DME control module for continuity. 1. Connect special tool 9637 to wiring harness (DME control module connector). 2. Remove connector of airbag control module. 3. Connect ohmmeter to special tool 9637, pin IV/16, and airbag connector, pin 24 or 34. Display: 0 - 5 ohms If infinite ohms is displayed, check connector X2/5 or check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage. Check wiring from airbag control module to DME control module for short to ground. 1. Connect special tool 9637 to wiring harness (DME control module connector). 2. Remove connector of airbag control module. 3. Connect ohmmeter to special tool 9637, pin IV/16, and ground. Display: infinite ohms If 0 - 5 ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage. Check signal from airbag control module. 1. Connect special tool 9637. 2. Connect engine tester (oscilloscope) to pin IV/16 and ground. Use special input. 3. Ignition on. The signal shown opposite should be displayed
  8. Sorry - just a show car - the stickers come right off. They did this with a Boxster a few years back.
  9. 9PA is equal to Gen 1 which = Cayenne through MY2006 9PA1 is equal to Gen 2 which = Cayenne starting from MY2007

  12. it was done nov of 05. It was out of warranty. Were they not selling parts then? Yes they were.
  13. Porsche has been selling transmission parts for 2 or 3 years now.
  14. As RFM said get the fault codes read - they will still be there whether there is beeping or not.
  15. Inspect the wires and connector but other checks will require a PIWIS or perhaps Durametric.
  16. You need an H11 with the same contact pattern.

  19. Of the standard types are in the Owner's Manual. Just go to an auto parts store and match the bulb and wattage.

  21. Here is what they say for the Porsche tools (PST and PIWIS) so I suspect the Durametric emulates them. "Open the rear right bleeder valve (use collecting bottle). Press the Start button on the System Tester. This initiates certain functions in the hydraulic control unit (return pump, switch-off and switch-over valves are actuated). Bleed until clear, bubble-free brake fluid emerges. In addition (throughout bleeding operation) fully depress (pump) brake pedal as far as the stop at least ten times. Caution: In vehicles with high mileage or in old vehicles, double the pumping cycles and use only half the brake master cylinder stroke (damage to the brake master cylinder could result / primary boot damage). Close the right rear bleeder valve. Then immediately press Stop button on the System Tester." any specific bleed valve to open before i start this? Bleed the brakes as normal first. I have added the bleed valve instructions to my post above.

  23. The "new" MSRP is $6156.46 -- the "old" price was $2168.48. I got mine for $1000 in 2000.
