  1. The car is 20 plus years old... Pins in the connector can push out. I had this happen on my MY99. Connectors can break/crack. Has happened to others likely from slamming the headlight back into its lock. Corrosion can occur if the seals are damaged. Look for moisture inside the housing. Can even be a bad contact on the bulb or bad bulb.
  2. The error says seat belt tensioner - not receptacle. You could always scan with a PIWIS to confirm the error. Chances are a bad connection or a bad tensioner - that is where I would put my money.
  3. Not likely going to work - IMHO. CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected.
  4. To do further tests you will likely need Durametric or PIWIS software. PIWIS can many times pin down an issue to a single microswitch or simple calibration procedure.
  5. No, it is a common problem for these to leak hydraulic fluid as they get older. How do you know that is not the issue?
  6. Then the radio may have been repaired by a 3rd party (not Becker). I think only Becker can fix that.
  7. Porsche "Book Time" to replace both front wheel bearings is 4.7 hours times your shops hourly rate. Porsche "Book Times" are usually a high estimate - an experienced tech can usually do the job in much less. So let the shop quote time - as long as it is under the "Book Time" you are likely good.
  8. You need to have a diagnostic scan run with a Porsche specific tester like PIWIS or Durametric. It will report back fault codes - get those and post them here.
  9. Likely a short to ground. Trace back wires to that fuel pump.
  10. P0230 Fuel Pump Relay 1 Output Stage - Open Circuit/Below Limit/Above Limit Possible cause of fault - Fuse FE14 faulty - Fuel pump relay faulty - Open circuit - Short circuit to B+ - Short circuit to ground - DME control module faulty
  11. Looks like the part that goes inside the oil filter canister - to hold the filter in place. Just clean it and then push it back in.
  12. Perhaps a photo to see the extent of the damage?
  13. Tiptronic or Tiptronic S transmission? The 5-speed Tiptronic S available as an option for the new 911 Turbo (997) is a further development of the transmission used in the 911 Turbo (996).
