  1. Hint - if you look in the TSBs under Summer Wheels and Tires you will all of the available wheels and tires listed. These get updated yearly by Porsche so they should be accurate.
  2. Could I go with the 19'' or 20'' with no issues on my 99 C2? Anything over 18" wheels on a pre MY02 car is not recommended by Porsche.
  3. The name on the side say "Continental".
  4. You need to check and see how much the overall outside diameter of the tire changes. Porsche says within 5% is okay.
  5. :welcome: Fault code 0166 Electronic ignition starting switch Possible cause of fault - No signal/communication (no communication between control module and ignition starting switch) - Electrical fault in electric circuit (plug contact problem) - Short circuit to ground or open circuit in wiring - Short circuit to B+ or open circuit in wiring - Short circuit to ground - Short circuit to B+ - Open circuit in wiring - Electronic ignition starting switch faulty - Control unit faulty Unless you are having a problem with the car I would reset the fault and see if it returns. It might have been caused by changing the battery. If it comes back then you need to go to the KESSY control module plug and check the wiring for corrosion or damage.
  6. I think what Porsche uses is equal to Loctite 5970.
  7. Please post this in the proper thread. If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I will only answer radio code requests in the one thread linked at the end of the FAQ. This thread is now closed.
  8. Follow the Owner's Manual and you can not be denied any warranty claim. Also, I have merged your 3 posts. Please do not start a new post for the same topic.
  9. Model and year of your car please?
  10. Not quite true. Anyone (or any shop) with a PST2 or PIWIS tester and the car's IPAS codes can program keys. I have done it.
  11. Sorry, I don't think Porsche sells the connector - but perhaps one of the OBC gurus knows for sure. Another option would be to get the part off of a car in a salvage yard.
  12. Try 5091 or 5089 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  13. Please either add your location in your profile or tell us where you live so we can help you make the decision.
  14. That is my understanding for the US. Other countries may have different rules/laws.
  15. Boxster Aerokit II or Carrera Aerokit II bumper - they are quite different. Boxster Aerokit II looks a lot like the Boxster S bumper (IMHO) where as the Carrera Aerokit Cup looks just like the GT3 bumper. Carrera Aerokit II is for MY02 and newer Carrera and the MY04 and newer GT3 - those use Bi-Xenon headlights and have a different shape. To use that bumper you would need to replace the front fenders, the headlights, and do some wiring changes.

  17. Yes and no. They have a plug that you remove if you add the third radiator. See my 996 3rd Radiator DIY for pics of removing the plug. Parts? For the bumper it should be the same hardware for attaching as your old bumper. For the 3rd radiator - see the 3rd Radiator DIY for a complete listing. 3rd Radiator Install Instructions

    Sorry "tenders" ?
  19. 996.505.980.02.G2X (US version) and 996.505.980.03.G2X (RoW version) are the (unpainted) GT3 parts. .00 and .01 are no longer available.
  20. Silicone based or Optitemp LG2 (white grease) - and very little of it.
  21. Closed for obvious reasons.
  22. P0410 Secondary Air Injection System - Signal Implausible (Cylinders 1 - 3) P0300 Misfire Damaging to Catalytic Converter P0302 Misfire, Cylinder 2, Damaging to Catalytic Converter P0303 Misfire, Cylinder 3, Damaging to Catalytic Converter Seems that all the problems are on the engine bank (cylinders 1-3). Does the secondary air pump start when you start the car (cold)? If not check the connections and the fuse. Possible causes: - Wiring harness or fuse - Relay - DME control module - Air supply lines - Secondary air injection pump - Electric change-over valve - Air change-over valve

  24. I just did this too - successfully! Pushed and held the trip/odo reset, turned on the ignition, then pressed the reset button on the under-side of the wiper stalk. Then it instructed me to depress the brake lever... and no more service message! Please specify year and model of your Cayenne including any updates. Thanks. Mine 05 CS and many others have tried the method and didn't work. See post 23 above. "The Service Reminder can be reset with the Durametric Software (about $247) or by any shop (or owner) with a PST2 or PIWIS. The original method only seemed to work on a few of the early cars."
