  1. Remove the Wilhelmy devices and see if the top works as normal. If it does then the pronlem is in one of the two Wilhelmy devices.

  7. I think you were reading the wrong TSB. The "Aerokit Cup" for the early cars (MY99-01) had instructions on how to jumper the harness but the later version does not. You are installing the "Aerokit Cup II" (for MY02-05) which only has the harness as an option. The harness you would need is 996.612.070.51 Wiring Harness - US MSRP $123.71 Try board sponsor Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for a better price. You will find a Link near the top right of any page.
  8. What harness part number did you use? Is the car a coupe or a cab? Which spoiler did you install?

  10. I am in the process of also updating my 2004 Cayenne which has CD based Navigation with a 2006 PCM and DVD Drive unit. I'm having a heck of a time determining which cables I need between the PCM and DVD Drive. I believe they are: 955-622-313-00 Optical Cable, 955-647-207-00 Coax Conn, 955-647-208-00 Connecting Cable. If the GPS antenna connects to the DVD Drive, if I disconnect it from my old PCM is there enough cable to re-route it to the DVD Drive below the seat. Sure hope someone can help with these questions. THanks in advance. MY2006 Fiber Optic Cables - use the chart to find your options and the correct cables.

  15. Yes, Suncoast (just like Carnewal and likely others) put heir own kit together from part numbers. Not uncommon - my 3rd radiator was never a factory kit either - Gert and I put it together from the parts lists. Well, X74 is comparable for the non-wide body cars. But basically, as I said you don't have to worry about removing and reinstalling the springs from the shocks as they will come assembled.
  16. Porsche never sold (to my knowledge) a retrofit kit for X73 - but Gert Carnewal does. I would guess around 4 hours (or less) install since the springs and shocks are already assembled. Plus a good 4 wheel alignment.
  17. Try 4621 or 4610 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  18. Ignition signal converter? what is that? Is that the ignition switch?
  19. Thanks guys! There is still more to come... I'll try highlight some details when we get closer to (3.1) in my blog.
  20. 16.9 : 1 I do not know of any other steering racks. In the old days we just put a smaller steering wheel on the car. The current stock steering wheel is 380 mm (14.97 in.). But today with airbags you would need to find a compatible steering wheel.

  22. :welcome: The DME should relearn on it own usually takes just a few minutes - and I have not seen one idle that high after just a battery disconnect. Perhaps the throttle butterfly is binding. Take off the air cleaner and the air box (rubber) tube. Check the movement of the throttle buttery. If it is a C2 then also check the idle control valve to see if it is stuck open. Tell us what you find.
  23. The power steering, accumulator, and slave all all back by the engine/transmission. So if your leak is in the front it is likely the power steering rack, master cylinder or the reservoir.
  24. Try 4253 or 4251 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
