  1. Is this for a Cayenne or Carrera? You posted in Cayenne. P2281 Leak Ahead of Throttle Valve – Below Limit/Above Limit Possible cause of fault - Leak between turbocharger and throttle valve
  2. Fault code 1314/P0614/P0864 DME control unit [ECMITCM Incompatible / TCM Communication Circuit Range/Performance] Possible causes of fault [Note: The Tiptronic control unit is coded in the DME control unit!} - DME control unit was replaced and coded incorrectly or was not coded (no or incorrect basic setting/adaptation) - Engine type coded incorrectly (no or incorrect basic setting/adaptation) - Transmission type coded incorrectly (no or incorrect basic setting/ adaptation) - To localize the fault, read out the fault memory for the 'DME control unit' (Please read out fault memory) - No message from DME control unit on CAN drive (no signal! communication) Fault code 0907 Load management operation on vehicle electrical system/DME control module Possible causes of fault - 'no display' Loads are/were switched off temporarily. The load management operation was enabled because of undervoltage. P2281 Leak Ahead of Throttle Valve – Below Limit/Above Limit Possible cause of fault - Leak between turbocharger and throttle valve Did the battery recently go dead? If so, I would clear these and see if they come back.
  3. Model and year of your car please...
  4. Try 9657 or 9655 You can verify the serial number using the technique in the FAQ. If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  5. Try 2419 or 2417 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  6. That VIN checks out as a MY2002 - so it would have the returnless system. You can read about the system in the Porsche Tech Book here (for Contributing Members only)
  7. P0102 Mass Air Flow Sensor - Below Lower Limit possible causes: - Open circuit. - Short circuit to ground. If you are still getting this code you need to check the wiring to the MAF. P1530 Camshaft Adjustment, Bank 1 - Short to ground. - Actuator faulty. Unless you think you might have bad coils or more wiring problems I would fix this first as it could be causing the misfires. P1115 Oxygen Sensor Heating 1 Ahead of Catalytic Converter - Below Lower Limit P1119 Oxygen Sensor Heating 2 Ahead of Catalytic Converter - Below Lower Limit Contact resistance. - Heating resistance too high. - Open circuit in heating current circuits. - Open circuit in H02S signal wire. - Short to B+ (output stage cut off). Odd that all of these would occur are one time - have you visually inspected the wiring to these items and the harness. Almost makes me think the DME connector is loose or damaged. Or even a bad ground from engine to chassis?
  8. Which wheels are we talking about 1 piece or 2 (plus) pieces. A stripper will take everything off and I would only use it if the wheels are real bad and in that case you might consider some professional cleaning. Also, Wheel Enhancement takes trade-ins on will sell you new or reconditioned wheels.
  9. Sorry, TPMS was an option. Check your options list for I482 Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
  10. Try 0097 or 0095 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Tried both 0097 and 0095 didn't work any other suggestions? Yes, PLEASE read the FAQ (it has other suggestions)
  11. Yes, you need to remove the alarm wire from the connector and tape it off.
  12. I do not think GT3 headers will fit a 996 engine. They are completely different engines. The GT3 and Turbo share the same engine mechanics - based on the air cooled 964 engine. The 9x6 series Boxster and Carrera use a then newly designed water cooled engine.
  13. A double beep means there is a fault in the alarm system. You need to find the fault (cause) of the double beep. It could be the door handle switch or it could be something else. Further diagnosis really requires a PST2, PIWIS tester or Durametric Software.
  14. There is no 996 emblem. The is a 911 emblem (used on the Millennium special model).
  15. Try 5520 or 5518 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  16. Try 1824 or 1822 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I tried 1824, 1822 & 1823 now it shows WAIT, any other suggestion? Yes, PLEASE read the FAQ.

  19. It would be helpful if you tell us what country car we are talking about. The phone options/service varies from country to country.
  20. Carnewal.com These guys have some excellent options but they are in Belgium and the US dollar is not very strong. Click on Suspension and then scroll down to P64.
  21. Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) - link bear top right of any page.
  22. Coupe and Cab and C2 vs C4 would be the options that come to mind. The spring rates are different because of the weight differences. So make sure they are for your car model. Used value is hard to say - depends on miles and condition.
  23. Try 0763 or 0761 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  24. I would go with the Bilstein or OEM for a "normal" ride. M030 will lower the car and stiffen the ride somewhat.
