  1. The AC and heater share the same fan - there is only one. Perhaps a flashlight and mirror so you can see what if anything is caught in there. As I said, this is fairly common - more so in older cars.
  2. Chances are you have either debris or weatherstripping caught in the intakes. If you go in through the pollen filter opening in the front trunk you can likely grab the debris. Several threads here on folks with the same issue.
  3. Loosen all the screws and have someone else hold in the proper position while you tighten the screws.
  4. Fault code 1400 Control position not adjustable Possible cause of fault - Control position not adjustable, vehicle too low or too high (no display) 1. Check mechanical and pneumatic components - replace damaged parts. 2. Check to see if other faults are recorded (e.g. 0774, 0775, 0776, 1780). Clear as needed. 3. Re-calibrate level control module.
  5. As long as the CEL is not flashing it is safe to drive. Are you sure there is not a second fault code P1411? P0410 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 1 – Below Limit P1411 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 2 – Below Limit Possible causes: − Wiring harness or fuse − Relay − DME control module − Air supply lines − Secondary air injection pump − Electric change-over valve − Air change-over valve Check the fuse first and the connector. Which fuse? I have the Bentley book but I can't find it. 40A fuse on relay support bracket in the rear trunk - left side (under carpet)
  6. Yes, the Durametric kits are universal.

  9. MFI-DI Relay is in the front trunk panel. Relay 53.
  10. You need to send me a PM with your car's VIN. Please be sure and copy it correctly - it should be 17 digits. Contributing Members here can get a PDF of their cars original options.

  13. A waster of money IMHO. GT3 Cup Cars use the same strut brace you already have. Your money might be better spent on a sport suspension or RoW (lower) sport suspension. Again - IMHO
  14. :welcome: It would be really helpful if you told us the model year of your car and exactly which version of PCM that you have.
  15. All TSBs are available here for viewing by our Contributing Members.
  16. Yes, be sure to clear your browser cache using Ctrl+F5 to get proper operation (on each computer you use). If you are still having problems please let me know what OS and what browser (including version) you are using. If folks really don't like this version then we can go back to the old version. But, please try the hard cache clearing first.
  17. An AOS failure would show as a major (or minor) air leak.
  18. :welcome: If these are LEDs then you may need to add resisters and make sure the polarity is correct.

  20. Yes, that is the part number for a fixed wing spoiler harness. BTW... Porsche dealer MSRP on that same part is $123.71 -- I'm sure Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) can do better than that.
  21. Depending on the year of your car the pin jumping may not work.
  22. Model year please? And. is this a US/Canada car or RoW?
  23. :welcome: The problem with those "free" online manuals is that they have maybe 30 of the 99 supplements (additions) to the 996 service manual. The Targa section was added in 2004 when the Targa came out. Depending on the age of your car the TSB 2/05 6040 Seal For Targa Roof Sliding Cover Has Been Modified (dated Mar 7, 2005) may apply. TSB's are available here for viewing by our Contributing Members. Perhaps other Targa owners have advice too...
