  1. :welcome: Please do a search here - this has been covered many many many times before. The best instruction are the B&M shirt shifter instructions - color pictures of everything you need to do. Only difference is you will not replace the shifter.
  2. On US cars it is up near the left side tail light. You need a wire hook a flashlight and a little bit of fishing luck. Removing the wheel and wheel liner might make it easier to find... I haven't tried that but it might be easier to see it.

  10. Sheet 8 - Control Unit Comfort Systems Rear and Alarm Central Locking System. As I read it power comes from the control unit so there are separate lines for that. What I do not know is what the controller will do when you put this product in series. It could give a light out warning, it could go bezerk, or it could smoke it. Good Luck!
  11. Filter, o-ring and drain plug sealing ring from Sunset. I don't know the their price on a metal oil filter wrench but you might find that locally (74 mm 14 flutes). 'particle filer' is the same as 'pollen filter' or 'cabin filter'. No faults are always good - unless you have a check engine light I would skip until the next major maintenance.

  13. I recently replaced my air filter. On my next drive the check engine light came on. When I opened it up, I found that I had forgotten to reattach the MAF sensor wire. Would this cause the check engine light to come on? If so, would it go off on it's own after I connect the MAF wire? Thanks to all for this forum. Yes, and Yes. A disconnected MAF will give a fault P0102. It should go off after a few drive cycles. If it does not - then it would be best to see if there are other fault codes.
  14. The tubes are oil returns - so if you let the car sit a few minutes most of the oil should be back in the crankcase. Maybe a few drips but oil will not gush out.

  18. You have a leak somewhere - have you put a fault code reader on the car? Better yet the Durametric software so you can read the MAF voltage and airflow.

  21. Definitely - It is time to put a Durametric, PST2 or PIWIS tester on the car and see what is going on.
  22. Ok tried it again -- the S/N is definitely WS0 - 12008 Does the Radio have to talk to the DME through the body harness to qualify the code? The reason I ask is that this car had its engine replaced (due to an IMS failure) and is a 99 car with a 97 engine (and a 97 Engine Wiring Harness). I had to rewire the engine wire harness to connect the Tank Pressure Sensor to the DME since the 97 had a different pin out. Could I be dealing with a similar issue? thanks, Mike No the radio does not talk to the DME on pre-MOST cars (MY2003). Sorry, in a small percentage of cases my code finder does not work. You can try to get a dealer to get it for you free or pay Becker for the correct code.
