  1. You will need the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to reset the service reminder.
  2. Porsche designs understeer into these cars as a safety feature. Most average drivers can not get into trouble with too much understeer - whereas it takes a talented driver to drive an oversteering car fast (i.e. the 60's, 70's and early 80's Porsche all had lots of oversteer). In an understeering car if you lift the throttle (when you are in trouble) the car straigntens out and the plowing minimizes - whereas if you lift the throttle in an oversteer condition then you are likely going to end up spinning into the weeds or tire barrier (or worse).
  3. If the socket key number is not written into your Owners Maintenance Manual (good dealers do this) -- then you will need to go to their shop and they will get their kit out and try each one until one matches. Then they will tell you order that one.
  4. Try cleaning the MAF (yes, a dirty or bad MAF can cause both those lights to come on).
  5. Yes, I call it horseshoe because of the whole shape of the trim - but on your MY2000 car it is 3 pieces. So that side should pry off separately.
  6. Try 7499 or 7497 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  7. New -- 986.300.011.20 -- MSRP $10,805.83 Exchange (rebuilt w/ Porsche warranty) -- 986.300.011.TX -- MSRP $7545.07 Plus installation labor.
  8. Just pull that part of the horseshoe off. Pry with a cloth and plastic tool if it is real tight. The switch just snaps into place (unless it is broken).
  9. You mean the o-ring? The injectors are just held in to the fuel ring pipe with a clip.
  10. Original battery? If so, it is 5 years old (and likely shot).
  11. Try 9595 or 9593 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  12. The mobile version is really stripped down and condensed for small phone screens - with an iPad you should be able to use the full browser. I have been told by other folks that the iPad works fine. I would try unchecking the "Enable visual (RTE) editor" in your "My Settings".
  13. Did you see the list? Did you have the oil filler cap off? The oil filler tubing gets brittle as it gets older and is easily cracked.
  14. P0171 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit P0174 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit Possible fault causes: - Incorrect signal from MAF sensor - Intake air system leaking - Fuel pressure too low - Volume supply of fuel pump too low - Fuel injectors fouled - PCV valve leaks - Cap of oil filler neck not closed correctly or seal is damaged Looks like you have a leak...
  15. That or something like that may be the next step.
  16. If it is making noise then at least bearing is shot. Replace it before it spews oil on a hot engine and starts a fire or you lose power steering while driving. That's my suggestion.
  17. I apologize to everyone that got spam PMs from a new member here. Some 3334 PMs were sent before we banned the guy. It is sad that there are people in this world that have nothing better to do. Effective immediately -- new Members will have the number PMs and emails they can send from the board restricted to a low number. This should minimize any re-occurrence. Once again I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.
  18. Try 9593 or 9591 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  19. View New Content is just a custom search based on both stored information in the database AND on cookies in your browser. First check to make sure you are only looking at "...content since your last visit". If not change it and save. Next go to the bottom of the forums and "Delete My Cookies". You will need to re-login but then View New Content will be synch'ed with your browser. If you frequently browse from different computers (or browsers) you may need to Delete My Cookies more often to synch the browser with the database.
  20. Find the part no. and send a request to Sunset Imports. You might not even need the part no. Just tell 'em what you want. Good luck. As phillipj said they only sell them in pairs. The poster is in Sweden so I would suggest he call or email Gert at Carnewal.com (in Belgium).
  21. Porsche part list OEM plug is 14FR 6LDU except for GT3 ClubSport which is Y 5DDC.
  22. I have updated the DIY to reflect both LHD and RHD cars.
  23. I agree with wvicary I would try a helicoil first. 948.107.040.57 Oil Pan -- US MSRP $637.99 -- plus drain plug and seal. Plus oil pump gasket, plus oil level sender seal, and plus sealing the pan itself.
  24. Thanks - be sure and check the FAQ for more tips...
