  1. YES - my mistake that is the drain plug. (I must have been asleep when I posted that!). Corrected now! Thanks for catching that Dharm55. Correct torque is 7.5 ftlb.
  2. RoW Sport are red.
  3. Use Drei Bond Silikon - type 1209 or equal. Make sure the mating surfaces are very very clean. 7.5 ftlb. on the screws tightened diagonally from the center out.
  4. I would erase it and see if it comes back - you can get this fault if you try to lock the door before it is shut. If it keeps coming back then investigate. Fault code 60 Central locking limit position 'Locked' not reached Possible cause of fault - Central locking switch faulty - Short circuit to ground/open circuit in wiring between the alarm system control module, central locking switch or door locks - Driver's/passenger's door lock faulty - Control module faulty
  5. Will resetting the fault ensure the module is working? I don't want to be in a situation where the airbags don't work... Note: Fault codes 100 and higher are internal control module faults. The stored faults cannot be erased. You need a new airbag controller.
  6. 4B0 905 839 is the newer switch.
  7. And if you manually select a gear and stay in the gear going uphill? Point is if it is always thee regardless of gear then you may be looking at torque converter problem.
  8. I assume they checked the Tiptronic fluid level? Any difference going uphill or downhill?
  9. The new version of the IP.Board iPhone App is now available in the Apple App Store for download. Here is what's new in this version: Push Notifications Push notifications have been integrated into the existing notification system, so any event that can generate a notification can also generate a push notification. You can have notifications sent to your phone for subscribed forums and topics, new personal conversations, reported posts, and much more. You should see a new 'mobile' column in your notification settings: These same settings can also be updated directly from the iPhone App: The Quick List feature that we showed in the previous blog post has been expanded to show your unread notifications. When you receive a notification on your phone, the Quick List for the forum that sent it will be automatically opened so that you can see the notifications: Tapping the notification will take you directly to that area of the forum. iPad Support (beta) This version also includes preliminary support for the iPad, the application will now properly resize to use the entire screen. We'll be further enhancing this functionality in the future by providing a more customized interface and using the regular skin instead of the mobile skin. Read more and download here (Yes, there is an Android app coming in the future still!)
  10. Paint code should be on a sticker in your Owners Maintenance manual, perhaps on a sticker under the front hood.
  11. Try 4399 or 4397 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  12. Try 2425 or 2423 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  13. You did not lose any engine cooling -- as you said the 3rd radiator cools the Tiptronic normally. So, you lost Tiptronic cooling. The widebody radiators are slightly larger but you may also need the appropriate ducting and may need to upgrade teh front bumper to C4S or Turbo style. That still does not solve the Tiptronic cooling problem... I'll have to think about that one
  14. "The Sprint Booster is a simple amplifier that multiplies the accelerator pedal sensor signal, making the accelerator pedal more sensitive. It does not eliminate any significant delay in throttle response, nor does it greatly improve acceleration figures. It does not change the adaptive throttle control programming of electronic throttle control vehicles. It does change pedal "feel". This change in feel is interpreted by some as improved throttle response, acceleration, and a change in adaptive throttle control programming. Considering what it actually does, it is expensive. Richard Bipes September 2007" SprintBooster.pdf Why not just press the throttle harder and faster?
  15. P0421 Catalytic conversion P0431 Catalytic conversion NOTE: The catalytic converter monitor compares the amplitude of the oxygen sensor behind the catalytic converter with the amplitude of a computed limit catalytic converter during defined air gulping and enrichment phases. The amplitudes allow conclusions to be drawn about the ability of the catalytic converter to store oxygen. Possible fault causes - Oxygen sensors in front of and behind catalytic converter swapped (position in exhaust assembly) - Valve lift error - Aged oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter - Catalytic converter faulty (pre-catalytic conversion rate too low) If an aged oxygen sensor (oxygen sensor signal behind catalytic converter, dynamism) is detected together with this fault: - remedy the fault "Oxygen sensor signal behind catalytic converter, dynamism" first, - Then check if this fault - catalytic conversion - has been entered again. IMPORTANT: If the primary catalytic converter is faulty, check the main catalytic converter for damage and also replace it if necessary.
  16. Your local Porsche OPC or Carnewal.com in Belgium would be the best chances.
  17. Thanks! - I am going to add a link to this video in the Video DIY section of Videos.
  18. 996.541.903.00 Cord -- US MSRP $18.41
  19. If you are sure they are clean and all the connections are good then you will likely need a PIWIS tester to see what else is going on.
  20. You will need 3 or 4 hands as the gasket under the emblem will need to be held in place (I speak from experience).
  21. MSRP $126.17 14 U-clamps are shown (955.505.897.01 -- MSRP $0/55 each) but I don't know if the bumper has to come off to get to them.
  22. Please post this in the proper thread. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I will only answer radio code requests in the one thread linked at the end of the FAQ. This thread is now closed.
  23. Sounds like it is out of calibration to me. Did you let the tank run really low and then not fill it up completely?
