  1. Could be anything else on the list without further investigation. Realizing the car is 11 years old - when was the last time the ATF was changed? If a sample is black - then it needs to be changed.
  2. P0740 Fault, torque converter clutch - present Potential causes: - ATF supply - Torque converter - Pressure regulator 4 (hydraulic) - Electrical triggering to pressure regulator 4 - Hydraulic control unit
  3. Please do not send me an email AND post here (twice). Just post on the site and someone will help you. Make sure they are using 996 552 253 01 01C. It fits (only) in the top shelf position right below the radio. So you should have two shelves in the area below the radio.
  4. :welcome: Things to check are: - loose rear swaybar mounts - transmission mount - cardan shaft (since it is 4WD) - loose strut - cv joints
  5. If it is random then it could be a bad connection or bad throttle jacking sensor.
  6. I don' see how these could be related unless your DME and/or throttle jacking sensor harnesses are damaged.. P1501 Throttle Jacking Unit, Output Stage – Signal Implausible P1505 Throttle Jacking Unit, Control Range – Open Circuit P1505 Throttle Jacking Unit, Control Range – Below Limit P1505 Throttle Jacking Unit, Control Range – Above Limit P1508 Torque Comparison Function Monitor – Signal Implausible
  7. No, if you have the BOSE subwoofer you do not have a second battery.
  8. Once everything is hooked up you will a PIWIS tester to program the option = perhaps that is what the dealer means. Ask them if they will do that if you install it.
  9. Disconnect the MAF and drive keeping the revs under 4000 RPM - if the car drives fine you need to replace the MAF, I am surprised you do not have a CEL.
  10. Check your clutch microswitch - the cruise signal goes through it.
  11. Classifieds - For Sale, Trade, Wanted
  12. 996.555.457.00.A10 Lid - black -- US MSRP $5.90 each
  13. Go here Type PCM in the Search box at the lower right - you will get 16 TSB results.
  14. Try 0588 or 0586 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  15. Do you mean here on RennTech.org? or do you mean on Rennlist.com? The answer is yes to both.
  16. Contributed. Also confirmed purchase of the 06 CS. Thanks again to all. Your factory options list has been sent to you in a PM. Thanks again for your donation.
  17. That might work. There are no schematics of the internal working of the instrument cluster only I/O. Since the lights are part of the cluster your guess is as good as mine.
  18. i ordered mine im waiting for it in the mail...im hopeing this is my problem ....did u find out where it is ? http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?/topic/33526-my-car-stalls-when-its-hot-around-205-deg-f/page__view__findpost__p__181046
  19. Corrected previous post. Plus you can always find this information in your Owners Manual.
  20. Ah... you are correct I was thinking of a different car where it flashes when PSM is active. Looks like the signal to the cluster is over the CAN bus so no place on the PSM/ABS control module or cluster. You may be SOL.
  21. As long as it is an LED then you can likely use the light wires that are on the switch.
  22. Try 8282 or 8280 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  23. Yes, you can in a 997-1.
