  1. Book time is 130 TU or about 1.33 hours.
  2. Check for leaks -- and it is best to reset the DME (got your radio code?) by removing the negative battery lead for 30 seconds. Then the car will go through the re-learn process.
  3. Model year and coupe or cab please?
  4. Because a 2004 Boxster is a 986 series car (1997 to 2004) and you are posting in the 987-2 series car (2009 on) forum. We do this as a courtesy so that 1. you can find your post when you come back and 2. so that folks with similar cars care share their help and advice and not be confused with other models/options.
  5. You will need the Durametric software, a PST2, or PIWIS tester to reset the service light. Sorry no other way. Perhaps a member near you can help out - if give your location (City)?
  6. Does anyone know where the climate control gets that temperature from - I don't think so. I don't think the turn on temp is critical as long as the car is not overheating. I live in Northern California and it has been over 100 degrees F the last 4 days in a row. My temp needle still rarely goes much past the 8 in 180. My fans seem to only "need" to turn on when stopped at a light or other idling time (other than AC of course). I own a PST2, PIWIS and Durametric and I have not bothered to look at the temperature readout - because the the car does not seem to be overheating or have a problem. Personally I think too many folks have blown the cooling thing way out proportion - heat is not killing these cars. My advice is - if your car is not getting hot - don't worry about it.
  7. Did you bleed the air out of the system after the refill (post leak)?
  8. Sorry for the crummy cell phone pic - but it gives you the idea...
  9. 996 552 253 01 01C is the upper shelf 996-552-243-01-01C is the lower shelf Because of the shape of the console they only fit in those positions.
  10. Not really - any shop (or individual) with a PST2 or PIWIS tester AND your IPAS codes can program your car. I do it all the time as do several other members here.
  11. Likely are: upper strut mounts or front swaybar mounts.
  12. That is what the Bentley manual means - disconnect at the CV joints.
  13. :welcome: There is an installation TSB (available here to our Contributing Members) that lists all the parts. Plus the fiber optic cables required for your car will vary based on what options you already have. I suggest becoming a Contributing Member and downloading the 14 page TSB.
  14. That is the latest tank so unless it damaged during the install it would be unusual for it to leak again. I would double check where the leak is coming from.
  15. Please post this in the proper thread. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I will only answer radio code requests in the one thread linked at the end of the FAQ. This thread is now closed.
  16. P0491 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 1 - Insufficient Flow P0492 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 2 - Insufficient Flow Possible cause of fault - Electrical fault in power supply or line between relay and secondary air injection pump - Secondary air injection pump relay mechanically faulty - Mechanical fault in electrical secondary air valve - Pneumatic secondary air valve faulty/sluggish - Electrical fault in secondary air injection pump - Mechanical fault in secondary air injection pump or secondary air injection pump blocked - Vacuum system leaking - Air hose to secondary air injection pump slipped off or constricted
  17. Three posts below yours... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?/topic/27323-leak-on-rear-seatsfloor/page__view__findpost__p__181506
  18. :welcome: P0349 Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Intermittent Possible cause of fault - Camshaft rotor (phase sender wheel) damaged Diagnosis/troubleshooting 1. Check for additional fault entries for camshaft position sensor 2 - No other faults were recorded go to Step 2. - Correct other camshaft position sensor faults (P0346, P0347, P0348) in accordance with their instructions. 2. Check camshaft rotor for damage. Repair as needed.
  19. I do not know of anyone that has fixed one with epoxy - oil filler pipe yes - coolant tank no. What tank part number did you get? There have been 5 or 6 tank design changes.
  20. Scouser has updated his outstanding VIN Decoder. The VIN Decoder is here. Changes: 4.01 19/Jul/2010 Many thanks to Scouser for his continued efforts, work, and updates to this fine tool! :clapping:
  21. Brown/Blue needs to be removed and taped.
  22. Logically it would only be the MAF - because when it is in the circuit the car won't start --- correct?
  23. Closed this as the site's Mobile skin is almost complete. You can still use the Tapatalk stuff. Only thing I need to do (other than fixing bugs) is to add menu(s) for the special features on the site (i.e TSBs, pcodes, options, etc., etc.) Most of my testing has been with an Android 2.1 based (Samsung Captivate (aka Galaxy S))... so if any iPhone ( I have an emualtor but not the real thing) users are are seeing any big problems please let me know by starting a new thread. Thanks! :thankyou:
