  1. (click to enlarge) As you see Order Type 620 (621 for RHD) are normal Turbo Cabs. I checked and greenmp's VIN is is Order Type 620.

  4. Yes, it's just a older revision. All coils can be easily tested (off the car) with an ohm meter.
  5. Actually I did make a mistake - for a MY04 (engine M96.03) you need: 997 602 104 00 per the latest version of PET. (click to enlarge)
  6. 997 602 107 00 is the correct upgraded coil pack for a MY2004 996. The two part numbers should be interchangeable.

  9. Please READ the Lost Radio Code FAQ "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM?s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
  10. JFP - I am not sure they make one for the old DME 5.2.2 with the round connector.
  11. Correct.. And the special break-out box for a DME 5.2.2 (MY1997-2000) is different from the DME 7.2 (MY2001-2005). I can't find a photo but here is a diagram of the interface. A few have made their own but it is a lot of delicate work. (click to enlarge)

P0507 Idle Air Control at Stop - Above Limit Possible cause of fault: - Leaks in intake air system - Leaks in crankcase ventilation - Throttle adjusting unit faulty P0441 Fuel tank ventilation system above limit value/below limit value Possible cause of fault - Tank vent faulty (remains stuck in an open or closed position) - Tank vent installed the wrong way round - Leak in scavenging lines between tank vent and positive crankcase ventilation (in the Turbo via a T-piece also on the intake side of the turbocharger) - Scavenging lines between tank vent and positive crankcase ventilation trapped or blocked (in the Turbo via a T-piece also on the intake side of the turbocharger) Yes, they could be related - fix the P0441 first then clear the codes and the P-507 will likely go away. Also, I removed the duplicate post on this same topic.
  13. :welcome: You need a special tool (break-out box) to test connections coming out of the DME - to avoid damaging the DME. What fault coed(s) are you getting?
  14. I would be willing to bet it is a bad connector on the car - at one of the wheels. Lots of road debris and potential for corrosion.
  15. It might be easier to trace back from the cluster. Ohm meter at cluster (brown/black) and then test to each wheel. The circuit is a loop - 4 solid wire sensors at the pads and their connectors at each wheel - then a single wire to the instrument cluster. So if any part is broken (open) then it will display as pad wear.

  18. The signal also passes through the PSM circuit - so you can check that too. From the PSM pump it goes to the instrument cluster.
  19. I doubt it would help unless they look very different - most times the changes are internal and very visible unless you cut one open (and you don't want to do that!)
  20. Porsche has had so much trouble with these as I think there have been over 6 updated parts. I would go with the Porsche parts (and the Porsche parts warranty) to get away from this troublesome problem on all Cayennes.
