  1. I think it would be helpful if you would give us the fault codes. All tires are the same size, make and have similar wear? Likewise with wheels same size and width per axle?

  5. If you do not have spreader tools then carefully use a screwdriver to lever it off. You may need to straighten it a bit afterwards.
  6. Yes, you can turn on options with payment. But they may not be able to give you options outside of your delivery area (usually country). This would include anything emissions or otherwise "regulated" by country. As I said some options require Porsche approval so if Germany says know then they can not even sell it to you. That is my understanding.
  7. Carefully spread the clamp until you can remove the tailpipe. When you re-install them you will likely have to lever them on. A real tight fit.
  8. Yes, man changes can be made -- and options added. Options require a Porsche AG electronic approval (i.e. proof that you paid for the option). Simple re-programming of standard systems is fairly easy - some dealers/OPCs will charge for this (usually just labor) and some will not.
  9. I think any good auto parts store could match the cotter pin size. I would not suggest a home supply store as some of their cotter pins are for light duty use and could fracture in automotive use.

  11. Yes, these newer cars with more electronic control modules ARE more susceptible to voltage spikes.
  12. For the rear panel - most fixes involve removing the panel and installing Teflon tape on the binding surfaces. For the dash noise - check TSB 9025 dated Dec 13, 2005. Similarly rattles can be loose components or panels - so tighten the components mounts or apply felt tape to the loose panel(s).
  13. Mirror controls and heater go through the door control module. So if it were a fuse then you would likely have window and door lock problems too. You may need to get the door control module re-programmed using a PIWIS tool.

  15. :welcome: Those look like the connectors for the optional 6 CD Changer. The orange wire is for the MOST control system and is a fiber optic cable.
  16. It would appear so yes. It looks like VW may also have an exchange part for the steering rack.
  17. If you look at Porsche's parts list they do not sell internal steering rack parts - only the whole rack (over $1600.00 MSRP). Your best choice might be a salvage yard and buying a low mileage steering rack off a wrecked car. They are all basically the same from 2003 to 2010. Although there were many changes - they all fit and work the same.
  18. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ. I can not get your code from your VIN only the radio serial number - read the FAQ to see how to display the serial number.
