  1. Somewhat tied into the alarm system. In that removal of the radio while armed will set off the alarm.
  2. A good indie will do the same quality (or better) than the dealer for likely 1/2 the price. A no brainer for most.
  3. Page 4 for the the downloadable CDR-23 manual (here). On page 20 it tells you how to optional turn it off. "When the unit and the ignition are switched off, an LED blinks as a visual anti-theft device. Note The blinking function can be switched off in the user menu. See "Setting the LED" on page 20."
  4. Hmm... There has been one rear window gasket part number change. What option is your rear window? (there are 6 different ones depending on options) Is the rear lid straight? Have they checked it for alignment?
  5. :welcome: Here's a little more info on those tools... 000 721 928 51 Tool 9285/1 -- US MSRP $22.40 000 721 929 00 Tool 9290 -- US MSRP $199.29 (click to enlarge images)
  6. I sent you a PM. (to all Contributing Members) - In the future please do this through a PM (Personal Message).
  7. No gasket on the oil pan just clean and re-seal with the Porsche sealant (or equal).
  8. Yes, the AT designates a factory rebuilt engine. AT is short for Austausch, German for Exchange.
  9. For 9x6 series engines: (click to enlarge) Porsche's PET parts system has more information but the list is maybe 20 pages long (too long for here) For your engine M96/20AT65X65895 2.5 liter Boxster engine - 65X says the engine was manufactured in 1999 and was rebuilt at a later date. The re-build date is not in the serial number but might be in the car's service records.
  10. Try 7165 Thanks - but didn't work for me.. Your serial number looks way too long to me - please use the method to obtain your serial number in the Lost Radio Code FAQ and re-submit.
  11. Your car should already have the up-graded grounds and gold contact seat belt buckle contacts. I would start by inspecting and cleaning the seat belt buckle contacts and connectors with good quality electronic contact cleaner.
  12. Since there were many leather options for different parts of the interior it would be very helpful if you have the option code(s)?
  13. Fault codes 47, 48, 49, 51 Passenger's belt buckle Possible cause of fault - Incorrect coding - Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the wiring between the passenger's belt buckle and the airbag triggering unit - Passenger's belt buckle faulty - Triggering unit for airbag faulty Note! - If the fault memory is cleared, the ignition must be switched off, the ignition key removed and the ignition switched on again in order to check the fault path. Only in this way is another self-test carried out. - When the coding is changed in the menu item "Change coding", the ignition must always be switched off afterwards and the key removed. - After the ignition is switched on again, the new coding from the airbag triggering unit is updated and the stored faults can be erased.
  14. There are two with that number: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?app=downloads&module=display&section=download&do=confirm_download&id=217 or http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?app=downloads&module=display&section=download&do=confirm_download&id=222
  15. Can you move the wiper blade with your hand? If so, then perhaps the nut that holds it on has come loose.
  16. Pull the plastic cover off the nut and see if you can tighten it down. (click to enlarge)
