  1. Did you follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to obtain your correct serial number? Certainly did. Perhaps the 5 is an S? I double checked the numbers and that's the only digit i'm ambiguous about. Serial number: 1S007409 For that serial number it should be 3109. This works 99.997% of the time. Sorry, try Becker North America.

  3. These are as "spec'd" by Porsche. You can get the latest Porsche Approved Oils list here;

  5. Pressure plate -- 17 ftlb. (23 Nm) Dual Mass Flywheel (per sequence) -- 65 ftlb. (85 Nm) Single Mass Flywheel (per sequence) -- 67 ftlb. (90 Nm) (click to enlarge)
  6. Did you review TSB 3/99 2015 Fuel Tank Hose Modification to see if your car may be affected?
  7. 997 431 - 431 is the order type code. Your means C4S RHD (Right Hand Drive). L92U is your paint color code and yours means Arctic Silver Metallic. XAJ = Painted sill covers XLF = Sports exhaust system XMZ = Rear section of center console in leather 9971 = a special order Exclusive option (perhaps leather type)
  8. No, I don;t think you can do that even with the Porsche tool. If you installed a fixed rear spoiler (i.e. aerokit style) you will still get the warning light until the car reaches ~5 mph (forward or reverse) - then it turns itself off. If you install a fixed rear spoiler and you always get the light then you have the wrong connecting harness.
  9. There are multiple airbag sensors installed -- you are going to need a Porsche PST2 or Porsche PIWIS tester to further diagnose this airbag error to the correct sensor. All further testing/troubleshooting requires the Porsche tester -- sorry. Plus there are precautions you will need to understand and take before working near "live" airbags.
  10. Fault code 1738 -- Airbag sensor (driver's) Possible cause of fault - Implausible signal (incorrect airbag sensor installed) - Open circuit (based on wiring between airbag triggering unit and airbag sensor or the airbag sensor itself) - Electrical fault in electric circuit (based on wiring between airbag triggering unit and airbag sensor; probably a short circuit to B+ or a short circuit to ground) - Faulty (airbag sensor is faulty) - Airbag triggering unit faulty

  12. Your OPC may (or may not) do a TSB required repair for free - or a reduced fee.
  13. Generally speaking you are checking it every 20-30,000 miles and replacing it when it shows signs of wear.
  14. That estimate seems a little optimistic. They will need to: - hook up the tester to verify the fault(s) - removing and installing side airbag - removing and installing front seat - removing and installing front backrest frame - hook up the tester to verify the fault(s) have been cured I think more like a two hours. If your VIN is covered in the TSB they should give you a cost consideration discount.
  15. Sorry. Try Becker North America ( http://www.beckerautosound.com/Service.html ). There may be a fee but they should be able to resolve the issue.
