  1. If your battery is 4 years old or older - replace it. It will not likely make it through the winter anyway. You need to do more diagnostic work to narrow down the issue. (click to enlarge) The control unit is a couple hundred dollars so check the other items first.
  2. ParkAssist Fault code 0430 ParkAssistent display field (LED segments), front right Possible cause of fault - Wiring connection between control unit and display fields (LED segments) faulty - ParkAssistent display field (LED segments), front, faulty -ParkAssist control unit faulty Note: The display fields (LED segments), front left and right, are not separate components. They can be exchanged as a complete unit only. ParkAssist Fault code 0431 ParkAssist display field (LED segments), rear Possible cause of fault: - Wiring connection between control unit and display fields (LED segments) faulty - ParkAssist display field (LED segments), rear, faulty - ParkAssist control unit faulty Note: Unlike at the front, there is a combined fault code for the rear, left and right. Best check the wiring -- especially the grounds. And, I assume there are no other odd electrical faults? If there are then you likely need a new battery. A weak battery can cause these cars to do very strange things.
  3. It goes to the right place when I click on it. http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/309-adjusting-rear-glass-latch-eliminate-open-glass-warning/
  4. :welcome: There should be an associated fault code please tell us what it is?
  5. What is the exact model and year of the car the amp came from?
  6. I checked the VIN - it is a 2013 Cayenne GTS. Porsche did not offer "GTS RS" decorative film in the USA/Canada or RoW -- only "GTS". And this does not look like the Porsche style (see images below) decorative film. So I have no idea where they got the "RS".
  7. ATE Typ 200 is what the factory fill is. I would stick with that. As I said in post number two: "One liter should be enough to bleed all four brakes and PSM."
  8. What model was your old Becker/Porsche radio?
  9. I am going to close this as there are already many many articles and posts on "what is the best oil"
  10. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ "Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
  11. Have you checked for damage to the shift linkage? both at the shifter and under the car at the transmission?
  12. Here is what I am running on my MY99 with Porsche Design Sport 8" front wheels and 10" rear wheels. TireRack say 10" or 11" rears for these 295/30/18 tires
  13. Go with the ET 65 mm wheels and you can easily go to 295/30/18 rear wheels/tires.
  14. You will need Durametric, or Porsche PST2, or Porsche PIWIS , or Porsche PIWIS 2 to read any Tiptronic codes. Porsche (like most car makers) has specialty controllers in the car that only Porsche diagnostic tools can access.
  15. You have to hit the tuning button on the CR210 in order to "Input" the code. If you do that and the code 2180 still does not work then your radio is one in 10,000 - that does work with the code. Sorry. You will need to contact a Porsche dealer or Becker North America.
  16. MY2002 was the last year for "wired" radios before they went to fiber optics (MOST) in MY2003. If they caused the problem - they should fix the problem - for free.
  17. Did you get the serial number using the method in the Lost Radio Code FAQ?
  18. I do not understand why you posted 3 times and sent me two Personal Messages. Apparently you did not read the part of the Lost Radio Code FAQ that says "Please DO NOT PM me or email me (or anyone else helping with the codes) your radio code request - we will only answer requests in that one thread." Try 2180
  19. Yes, Porsche did upgrade the lock and switch assembly. If you replace the old switch only with a new switch you will still likely get 5 or 6 years out of the new switch. A 15 minute job if you have done it before. If you go the TSB update route then you must upgrade the whole steering lock assembly (much higher cost) but the problem should not re-occur. About 60 - 90 minutes if you have done it before.
