  1. Those two systems have no connections to each other - which is why I say that it can not make any difference.
  2. We are talking about a 2003 or newer 996 (with MOST fiber optics) right? 1. Yes, you will likely need a PST2 or PIWIS to code the radio and add the radio in the MOST setup. 2. That will depend on the other (MOST) options on your car. I have posted the diagrams here on the site (please search). 3. Ask others on that one. 4. CDR-23 Radio to amp connection requires the MOST fiber optic cable. So if you want to use the CDR-23 you will need either the BOSE amp or the Harmon amp. The output of the amp to the speakers is always a wired connection. 5. Again this will depend on your cars options - the BOSE amp supports 6 speaker and a sub-woofer.
  3. Try 0109 Tried it, but it did not work. Entered the code and then the asterisks just came back. Is there a button that needs to be pressed after entering the code (the manual does not say so)? Thanks for helping! No, just entering the code should start the radio working on a CDR-220. Did you use the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to get your serial number? If not, then please read that and follow the procedure and re-post the correct serial number here.
  4. You have posted 3 times with two different serial numbers and still no model name (on the front of the radio). No radio model - no code -- just that simple.
  5. +1 I highly recommend this method - it can save you hours and hand injuries.
  6. If your car does not have PCM (or never had it) then just ignore the PCM faults. I have see false errors with a PST2, and PIWIS on 996 series cars that do not even have PCM. Perhaps someone else has a source for connectors...
  7. So are you saying everything is working but the code do not clear? If that is the case then Durametric may not be able to clear them and you will likely need a PIWIS or PIWIS 2 tester to clear them. As I recall PIWIS is also capable of running a CAN test.
  8. Looks like that document is not available in PIWIS. If you look at all the other 997-2 logos they are all 45 mm up from the bottom edge of the rear lid. Then centered on the lid left to right.
  9. Item 17 - Fastening part? If so, 996-631-077-00 -- US MSRP $23.92 each
  10. What is the model name/number on the faceplate of the radio?
  11. That would depend on the model and year of your car.
  12. How do you know you need a clutch? I got 135,000 plus miles out of the clutch on my last Porsche and that included track time and at least 12 autocrosses per year. It all comes down to driving properly and not using it for a torque converter (IMHO).
  13. Have they tried re-programming it with their PIWIS 2?
  14. I have a 200 porsche boxster s im needing a radio code for...... 4462 #y5040497 Try 9076
  15. Try 9579 Tried that code, doesn't work, any other options? Thanks D Did you follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ? If not, please do so and then re-submit the correct serial number. Radio is out of the car, number came off the deck. Guess next step is call Porsche and see if they can recover the code or reset with a new code? Thanks D They can not reset it and they will likely charge you find the serial number and code. Why not put it back in the car (briefly) to get teh displayed serial number - then I can get the code for you.
  16. Try 9579 Tried that code, doesn't work, any other options? Thanks D Did you follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ? If not, please do so and then re-submit the correct serial number.
