  1. 997-107-022-04 is the latest part -- US MSRP $565.15 but the -02 also shows as a "use until gone" item.
  2. The US Federal Trade Commission recently announced changes to the interpretations of the 1975 Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The changes had to do with certain dealers and/or shops denying warranty claims because aftermarket (non OEM) parts were used or because someone other than a dealer made a previous repair. This was called "tying" by the FTC. The tying prohibition of the MMWA, part 700.10©, was amended (bold and italicized portions) by the FTC as follows: "No warrantor may condition the continued validity of a warranty on the use of only authorized repair service and/or replacement parts for non-warranty service and maintenance (other than an article or service provided without charge under the warranty or unless the warrantor has obtained a waiver pursuant to section 102© of the Act, 15 U.S.C. 2302©). For example, provisions such as, “This warranty is void if service is performed by anyone other than an authorized ‘ABC’ dealer and all replacement parts must be genuine ‘ABC’ parts,” and the like, are prohibited where the service or parts are not covered by the warranty…such provisions are deceptive… because a warrantor cannot, as a matter of law, avoid liability under a written warranty where a defect is unrelated to the use by a consumer of “unauthorized” articles or service. In addition, warranty language that implies to a consumer acting reasonably in the circumstances that warranty coverage requires the consumer’s purchase of an article or service identified by brand, trade or corporate name is similarly deceptive. For example, a provision in the warranty such as, “use only an authorized ‘ABC’ dealer” or “use only ‘ABC’ replacement parts,” is prohibited where the service or parts are not provided free of charge pursuant to the warranty." You can read more at the FTC website here. Personally I am happy to see this long over-due change. This change is effective immediately.
  3. Try 2109unfortunately the code did not work, did it 3 times in a row 3 separate occasions:/ Did you follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ? If not, please do so and re-post the correct serial number here.
  4. Yes, it should be reachable behind the right rear wheel well liner.
  5. Exact model and year of your car please...
  6. :welcome: Thank you for becoming a Contributing Member! How old is your car battery and have you recently had it load tested? Many odd electrical problem in Cayenne's are do to a weak battery or poor battery cable connections.
  7. POSIP 8059 - Driver's lateral sensor Possible fault causes: - Short circuit to B+/ground/between lines or open circuit in the lines - Incorrect sensor installed as driver's front sensor - Driver's front sensor faulty - POSIP triggering unit faulty I would look for shorted/broken or corroded connections at the sensor. You will likely need to remove the front bumper cover to get to the two sensors (one on each side). Disconnect the battery and remove the key from the ignition switch before doing your checks. Location A is the front airbag sensors.
  8. Exact model and year of your car please?

  10. Please check the serial number using the Lost Radio Code FAQ - then re-post it here. The one you listed here looks too short.
  11. If you would like to see this site continue then please consider a donation. The operating costs of this site are in the thousands of dollars per year and every donation helps... thanks
  12. I suspect then that foam has hung up a flap (or two) may have even damaged the blower fan (for the interior). Do a search here as several have had similar problems - a bit of work to correct the issues but likely good for another 15 years after that.
  13. The disintegration of foam in the HVAC is pretty normal for a 15 year old car. I would not worry about that being the cause unless the noise goes away when you turn the AC and the inside fan "oFF". What diagnostic tool did you use?
  14. I suspect there is at least one fault code if you scan with a Porsche diagnostic tool...
  15. Please and follow the instructions in the Lost Radio Code FAQ - post ONLY in the topic linked there. This topic is now closed.
