  1. If you replace the cats and the sensors are still in good shape then the fault will clear itself after a few drive cycles. Of course you can clear fault codes with Durametric or POrsche PIWIS testers also.
  2. Hmm... I hope he had all the keys (and key codes) when it was programmed otherwise they were not matched to the car.
  3. 997-1 had a problem with the cable to the starter. Make sure you get the correct cable as they are different for 6-speed and Tiptronic. A couple hours and lots of under car - top of car to replace.
  4. It might be time to open the alarm module and see if it has water damage and/or corrosion. (IMHO)
  5. I removed your IPAS codes - please do not publish those here (or anywhere else for that matter). 1. Do you get one or two beeps when you lock the car? If you get one beep then you have an alarm zone open. If you get two beeps then you have an alarm fault. If this is the case you will need a Durametric tester or a Porsche PIWIS tester to diagnosise further.
  6. Sorry, I can not help you then.
  7. Did you use the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ to get your correct serial number? If not, please do so and then post again here.
  8. You obviously did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ - read this first " CDR-23 (or later):These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected. "
  9. As I recall the switch has a key that locks it from turning in the dash - so push and turn.
  10. An 80 amp fuse is a fusible link - it looks like a wire.
  11. Yes, it is on the firewall and has a protective cover.
  12. Remove the panel under the passenger side dash to expose the power distributor panel. F2 is labeled and the is the 2nd one in from the left. Be sure to remove it from the circuit and test with an ohm meter.
