  1. That is not spec'ed by Porsche.
  2. Any good alignment shop can do this - with the specs I have published here previously.
  3. 1997 Boxster (only)
  4. You really did not need to post this three times. From the site Guidelines/Rules that you agreed to when you registered here: " Please post your messages in one forum only. Crossposting, double posting, triple posting, etc. are all a waste of time and valuable resources. If you post the same message in multiple times or in multiple forums, we will delete the ones we feel are inappropriate." Try 0313
  5. I do not know that there is a measurement - we usually look for cracks or tears. Usually pretty obvious.
  6. How old is battery? If it is 4 years or more you likely need a new battery.
  7. Correct - the 2002 and newer (3.6 liter cars) are spec'ed for FGR 5KQE0 (or equal) spark plugs.
  8. The calibration is only required if something in the suspension is changed that could affect the (front and/or rear) sensors - or the sensor(s) themselves. I do not believe Durametric has the calibration procedure - so I think PIWIS we be needed.
  9. Did any of these occur? Calibration must be performed if changes were made that can change the position of the angle sensors: - Headlights, complete - HBA (Xenon) control module - HBA angle sensor (front and rear compression) - Running gear components - Damage caused by accidents
  10. Please tell the exact year and model of your car -- and the radio model.
  11. This is what I use - granted it is more expensive but it fits and works perfectly. http://www.sirtools.com/B90.htm
  12. If it is a "real Durametric" and not one of the knock-offs then check the pins for damage. Likewise check the OBDII connector on the car for pin damage.
  13. There is rarely any sign that the IMS bearing is going before it does. With the age of the car I would almost think that if it had a problem it would have already happened. This fault code (P0344) is pretty clear. P0344 Camshaft position sensor 1 - open circuit Possible fault cause: - Camshaft rotor (phase sensor wheel) damaged. You need to the check camshaft rotor for damage.
  14. +1
  15. 955.352.401.31 Rear brake rotor -- US MSRP $194.81 -- two required N.105.556.2 Pan head screw -- Two required 955.612.365.30 Sensor -- US MSRP $28.74 -- two required 955.352.939.64 Rear Pads (set) -- US MSRP $245.39 955.352.401.41 Front brake rotor -- US MSRP $239.78 -- two required N.906.854.03 Pan head screw -- Two required 955.612.365.010 Sensor -- US MSRP $29.81 -- two required 955.351.939.16 Front Pads (set) -- US MSRP $334.83
  16. Today, we’re pushing for a safer, more secure internet by ensuring all pages, content, data... everything on RennTech.org can be accessed using SSL encryption. Not only will this ensure that no data could be intercepted as it goes over the network, but it will also help build your trust in this site and it's contents. This is the right thing to do.
  17. If the battery is over 4 years old I would replace it to start. Clear the codes again and re-test with a new battery.
  18. Model = 930 Model Year = 1978 Code for Body and Engine = 8 Serial Number = 00129 Engine Engine Type = 6 cylinder Engine Version = 8 Model Year = 1978 Serial Number = 0151 The engine serial number 688.... also seems to point to a USA/Canada engine (and perhaps the whole car was USA/Canada).
  19. As I recall the center section just pulls down once you pry the top plastic pieces back. Due to the age of the car the side plastic clips will likely break.
