  1. Fault code 0288 -- Electronic steering column lock (ELV) Possible cause of fault - Short circuit to B+ or open circuit in wiring - Short circuit to ground or open circuit in wiring - Implausible signal - No signal/communication - Plug on steering column lock not connected correctly - Steering column lock faulty - Control module faulty Note - Visual inspection: In the next troubleshooting section, please check first that the affected pins on the KESSY control module plug connection are neither damaged nor corroded. The wiring and plugs of the affected components must also be checked for external damage and correct contacts. Repair damaged or corroded pins if possible, otherwise replace affected pins. Repair or replace damaged wires. A Porsche diagnostic tool (PIWIS test) would likely tell you more about the source of the problem.
  2. Then it likely needs to be tested with a Porsche diagnostic tester. Generic testers will not read transmission faults they read only emissions faults.
  3. Please have him tell us the fault code(s). Anything without codes is purely guessing...
  4. For 8N1-837-015-C -- Porsche's US MSRP is 263.11 I am sure Sunset Porsche would have a better price.
  5. As I recall you press the tabs on the side of the radio to release the keys.
  6. Just make sure the radio is straight and slide back in.
  7. Did you put the keys back in? Pull it out a little and look to depress the side clips.
  8. Yes, ride height will be different (Likely 20 mm lower front and 10 mm lower rear). Verbatim from my (2011 version) Porsche Cayenne factory service manual... WM 4495TW ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT (CAYENNE, CAYENNE GTS, CAYENNE S HYBRID, CAYENNE S E, CAYENNE TURBO) > ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT > WHEEL ALIGNMENT VALUES, AIR SPRINGS
  9. The newest 996 car is at least 12 years old - with that in mind there are things that will wear out. If it were my car I would replace the window regulator and likely be good for another 10-15 years. JMHO
  10. Ride height Front: 190 +-10 mm (From wheel contact area to bottom edge suspension subframe wheel center) Rear: 236 +-10 mm (From wheel contact area to bottom edge suspension subframe wheel center)
  11. You need to use a mechanics hook to grab the cable from behind the left rear wheel well lining.
  12. Try 4708 Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ...
  13. Vehicle ride height is dependant on wheel size. What size wheels do you have?
  14. No - please do not post under another title that just wastes everyone's time. Usually, posts are not replied to because the question is not clearly understood. All the air deflectors have a use (or I don't think Porsche would add them). Perhaps it would help if you take a photo and show us exactly which ones you are speaking of.
  15. Exact model and year of your car -- and exact model on the front of the radio, please?
