  1. Exact model and year of your car, please?
  2. iATN = International Automotive Technicians Network
  3. P1328 Inlet camshaft output stage – open circuit Possible fault causes: - Open circuit in triggering wire - Open circuit in B+ supply - Solenoid hydraulic valve faulty
  4. 1. Read the Lost Radio Code FAQ. 2. Try 0907
  5. This is the 5th radio you have asked for -- perhaps it is time for you to donate to this site?
  6. No Porsche specs show 17" wheels for 996 C4S or for 996 TT. (only the emergency spare wheel/tire that is only a 5.5 " wide wheel with severe offset.) The only way I think you could get away with that is spacers that would move the wheel out beyond the brake discs or down-sizing the brake discs. Both of which would not be advisable for handling and safety reasons.
  7. judgejon is correct about the wheel width.
  8. Your guess is as good as mine - electrically they are different. I would opt for a dial kit since that is your goal - you may just smoke both clusters trying.
  9. If your car is a MY2001 then you have the wrong instrument cluster. The cluster (electrical) design changed in 2001 (and again in 2002). So MY2001 cars are unique. Other than that clusters are different by both 2 wheel drive vs 4 wheel drive - as well as 6 speed vs Tiptronic. You need to make sure those are correct also. If you just want to change dial color - there are kits for that.
  10. The drive mechanism is about MSRP $305 (for each side). 1. Unscrew fastening screws -5- . 2. Disengage connector on the control unit. 3. Unscrew fastening screws on the holder -7- and remove the holder -8- . 4. Press the sleeve -6- out at the feed-through point. 5. Guide the drive mechanism out in a downward direction and remove it. Installation is the reverse just remember to position damping rubber -8- close to the bracket.
  11. You can try 8401 but if that does not work then the OPC - sorry.
  12. Hmm, looks like you did not read the Lost Radio Code FAQ . "CDR-23 (or later):These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DMEand can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected."
  13. The seat heaters are controlled by the Onboard Computer, Network control unit. The heating elements get power from the power distribution (one power wire and one ground wire (brown). Do the power connections and fuse connections exist?
  14. Wiring diagrams change by model and year. Exact model and year of your car please? Exact model and year of the donor car please?
  15. The answer is yes it is possible - with the proper cables and software/car programming. I think others will tell you that there are much better 3rd party solutions (for very little money) available today that will put PCM 2.x to shame. And, are likely easier to install.
