  1. I think you mean JFP in PA (John)
  2. Yes, registration and ID or Certificate of Title (and ID).
  3. I have done this a number of times. To program a key you need: - all the current keys to the car - the car - your cars IPAS codes (obtainable from any Porsche dealer with proof of ownership) - Porsche PST2 (for older cars) or Porsche PIWIS for newer cars
  4. You can buy the whole key and just transfer the transponder pill and metal key blade - that will work fine too.
  5. The number one cause of misfires on the early Cayenne's is ignition coil failures. If you remove and measure the resistance (in ohms) of a misfiring cylinder and know good cylinder you will see a huge difference in resistance. If the car has not had the coils changed in the last 2 or 3 tears then I would change them all to the latest version.
  6. Be careful - I've seen lots of manuals on eBay that are as much as 10 times the factory manuals.
  7. P0805A - Passenger's front sensor Possible fault causes: - Short circuit to B+/ground/between lines or open circuit in the lines - Incorrect sensor installed as passenger's front sensor - Passenger's front sensor faulty - POSIP triggering unit faulty
  8. You need the fixed wing (aerokit) harness (997.612.670.71) and then return the body mounted 3rd stop light to its original wiring.
  9. Sounds like you need someone that can read wiring diagrams and wire it as it should be. Find another shop would be my advice - this one is not rocket science.
  10. Yes, this has been covered here many times before. Every car is different but you are on the right track. Probable causes: - Intake air system leaking. - Fuel pressure too low. - Volume supply of fuel pump too low. - Fuel injectors fouled.
  11. RennTech.org is preparing for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance. If you are a citizen of the EU then rest assured that we will be making changes to this site to provide as much compliance with GDPR regulations as possible. More information on the details of GDPR can found here. Changes for the May 25th, 2018 GDPR deadline are already in process and will likely start showing up here in the next two months. There will be very little will change in everyday use of this site. Most changes will be to our policies and also the ability for users to monitor, change, or delete any of their personal data on this site. And, to provide protection that the personal data used on this site cannot be stolen or otherwise misused. While there are no current requirements for non-for-profit business sites like RennTech.org to meet GDPR -- we intend to do our best to meet the requirements of the business community. If you have any questions please feel to PM me. General comments are also welcome below.
  12. Hmm.. coolant temperature (implausible reading) would be my guess.
  13. (moved to the proper forum) Operating device Air conditioning system CLOSED Remote control for auxiliary heater wrong value. That is what P8440 is. The manual says to clear the code and re-check.
  14. If you try again and get the same serial number then chances are your radio was repaired by someone other than Becker. And, the serial number change is unknown. If that is the case then you will need to contact Becker.
  15. Did you follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ? If you did not, then please do so and re-post your correct serial number. If you try again and get the same serial number then chances are your radio was repaired by someone other than Becker. And, the serial number change is unknown. If that is the case then you will need to contact Becker.
